Southern Hospitality anyone? Keep on walking. The door's open & inside smells like smoke from bar a few feet away, in case you have allergies. I walked up to the counter, no one noticed. I waited a moment, then saw a clerk toward the back, holding her nails up to a light. I had to walk all the way over toward her, and say "excuse me" before she acknowledged me. I asked if I could bring some things in -- "Yes as long as there's less than 25 pieces and they're on hangers." I return with clothes in one hand, shoes n boxes in the other. No offer of help -- it's not exactly hopping in there. There are two clerks and maybe two browsers. I lay my things on the counter -- no one is there. After a moment I'm told, "Actually you can bring those back here." Seriously? I think of all the boutique positions I'd have been fired from if I'd ever, but ok. Two girls get behind the counter after I asked about their terms first. You get 40%, and if they price it $25 or less, you don't get it back. They cannot tell you what they'll price it at, only whether they'll accept it. I had a bunch of NWT designer formal dresses and designer pants, and, when we're talking my getting $40 for what they have to price at $100, it didn't seem worth it. Between the terms and the lack of courtesy, I decided to go elsewhere. The circular economy is all over the internet. You can even consign online and reach a broader, more cosmopolitan customer base. I like to support brick & mortar and "shop local" but the service here -- just basic courtesy 101 -- make eye contact with anyone who walks in, offer to assist when that's...
Read moreOn May 1st 2019, I purchased a large amount of clothes spending a large sum of money. I usually shop for my wife because of her busy schedule. I brought the clothes home, one item, blouse did not fit. The next morning, I went back to the store, less than 24 hours later. I ask for a refund, I was told by the owner, no refund or exchange. I was actually, socked. The blouse did not fit, the tags were still affixed to the garment. The consigner of the garment had not been notified of the garment being sold, less than 24 hours later, I even arrived at the store, 10:15 a.m. Iâm appalled that a business would treat a good customer like this, over the years my family has spent a great deal of money at this place and has recommend a lot of friends and strangers as well. I was going to challenge South Carolina Statue with them, regarding the current event. NOT WORTH IT. We gave the blouse away to a close friend. They lost a great customer and will lose more customers, thatâs for sure. Wait and see. I recall the owner rolling her eyes when the other person told her what I wanted. This is the first time had to inquire on a forum with a complaint. Every situation is different, this situation warranted a refund or exchange. Not to be told, you can re-consign the item. Moreover; They had no thought, what I was about spend on this day. You âall need to get your act together. The next guy might challenge South Carolina Statue with you, and will win. I donât care what your written policy is. The aforementioned,...
Read moreIm not recommending you shop or drop your clothing at this store. They are very unorganized. I've made 3 attempts, driving 25 minutes each time, to drop off my clothing with no luck. 1st time they weren't taking fall. Understandable. Next time i went back on the date they were accepting & was told the date was pushed back to Sept 4th. Right now, which is my third & last attempt, they have 3 people working, barely any inventory & turned me away AGAIN, saying I need an appointment. They didnt make any attempt to accommodate me! No wonder they don't have inventory! This rediculousness just cost them 4 clients.
Regarding your response I see you deleted; An apology is useless if you're using it to tell me how wrong i am. Did you even review my account? Ive never had appointment. I offered to leave my bags there & you review when you have time, which I have done before. Your refined process needs refining! Why not ask me the first and/or second time I was in "would you like to make an appointment?" The answer is because you are are no longer interested in customer service. Sounds like at 26 years in business, you think you can...
