Cakes LaMo'r Bakery — Restaurant in Columbia

I was visiting South Carolina for my nephew's graduation and wanted some good soul food so my sister took me to Southern Crave on 5/17/25 and I stumbled...lol.. upon the cake slices that the had there. The cake was already sliced, in a clear container and was wrapped in clear sealing. We decided to get a slice of red velvet and pound cake to take with us. When we finished eating, I decide to try the red velvet cake first and I must say I couldn't just take one bite. That cake was so delicious, fresh, moist and I must say like a taste of heaven. I then tried the pound cake and oh my I was speechless. So on Sunday I had to make another stop by to just get some more cake. I tried the strawberry cake and got another pound cake. I was completely satisfied. Since then I googled to find LaMor cake bakery because I wanted to purchase more to bring back home to Jacksonville Florida but unfortunately they were not open. I have called and left a message waiting to see how I can purchase and have shipped to me if possible. So if you are ever in the area please please check them put, you will not be disappointed. I’m very unhappy with how this cake turned out. It was a very big glob of messy icing pilled on the cupcakes. My mom orders cupcakes from this place very frequently! She loves them. I instructed her to order a family feud themed pull apart cupcake from her spot and they did not deliver. This was a very special night for my family and I as we was appearing on americas favorite game show.(Family Feud🤗) And for you to not try to make this right(outside of offering a 10% discount on a future order) is very disappointing! I showed the owner the pics and also explained to him how unsatisfied I was and he still didn’t try to make it right. He didn’t offer any solution except saying he’ll give me 10% off of a future order. I told him I wouldn’t even purchase anything else from this bakery. I’m sooo upset because not one of my guests even ate the cake because it was just too messy.I tried a piece of the cake and it was terribly dry. I have been ordering cake from this place hmmmm for about 5 years now but thus will be my last the customer service is so nasty it's the dark skin guy for me no thank you come again he's so rude he tries to be so professional that he's missing his mark even his tone over the phone is rude in person no smile it's like give you your cake and get out he's not friendly at all I had enough of him then they don't open up on Saturdays anymore the cake is good but his funky attitude i can do with out I know one monkey don't stop no show but a a business owner be More polite especially to your kind we are the people that keeps you in business...
