First off FYI it is not the delivery drivers fault by no means......we decided to come to Columbia to visit the zoo. We checked into our hotel within ten minutes without any problems. My husband saw some restaurant menus and pick up a few for us to order from. We chose China Village. Their meun seemed to look good and had things we wanted. We finally ordered at 7:51 pm on Friday March 15th, 2024. Our order had a bento box, sesame chicken combo, 2 orders of chicken friend rice. The women on the phone took our order, she was polite but didn't seem to want to take the order. So we ordered as our kids were getting hungry and ready to eat. The lady told us 55-60 mins. We were fine with that no biggie that gave us time to unpack and get the kids settled and take our dog outside. As 8:30-845pm approached we started wondering if our food would be getting closer to being ordered. Well 8:51pm came and gone and no one had delivered yet. I called around 9:05pm and the same lady who took our order said she would call the driver and tell him to speed it up. 10 more mins went by and I called again and told her if our food was not ordered we are canceling, thank goodness we choose cash instead of card. I finallyed called again around 9:30pm and told the lady to cancel and we don't want it because it has taken so long to get to us. This lady had the audacity to put me on hold for 10 mins to contact the delivery driver. I hung up and went to Wendy's. The delivery driver called me several times after I ordered Wendy's and was on my way back to the hotel. I didn't answer. My husband finally talked to the delivery driver before I got back to the hotel and the delivery driver enlightened us on how the restaurant works their orders. Apparently they wait until there are 5 to 6 orders on the counter before the delivery drivers are aloud to leave. Read moreThis establishment is one of the most disgusting and sickening places I’ve ever been to. I use to order the red tofu curry. I have always been told it is accompanied by a VEGGIE EGG ROLL. Today when I ordered the dish I regularly ordered; I was given a pork egg roll. I was polite enough to call them and explain to them their mistake. They confirmed to me several times it was supposed to be a VEGETABLE EGG ROLL. We made an easy agreement that I was simply come back for them to fix it. Simple. Where this issue comes in is before my arrival the woman who works the front desk calls me herself and YELLS at me about it is a pork egg roll. When that has never been the case and like always I ask. Begin that I haven’t eaten meat in over 15 years…. There is no way they told me it was pork and I wouldn’t make the proper adjustments. I was yelled at and treated so disrespectful by the staff and their child. They kept telling me a company called me however while I was at the store I called the number that called me. Their phone at the store rang and the woman shut it off.
This is horrible. These people put food restaurants in black neighborhoods but have no respect for black peoples. I was made to feel as if I did something wrong when all I have ever done is support their business. Leave them tips. And say thank you every time I have been in that establishment. OMG it is like greasy fried chicken pieces,General Tso and they used maybe a flavored sauce?, I'm unsure. I spent $30.00 for the entire order. I called, the person stated she is aware the food is prepared differently & she will speak with the owner. WHATEVER I'm not a connoisseur of Asian cuisine, BUT THIS IS NOT bourbon chicken. 2hours later.. I would like to add. I called them back again because I couldn't eat it and I usually can eat anything with a good amount of hot sauce. It was that bad..They agreed to come back and refund my money.
