Jersey John's Blue Pizza — Restaurant in Columbia

Maybe at one point in time this place was good. The pizza was burnt to a crisp and there was so much grease it was dripping everywhere. The place itself was a wreck. You can tell there is no money going into maintenance or cleaning. There was no silverware. Even though there were four people working, customers were walking out. The one dude that took my order was nice, but he was alone in this battle. It's a shame. You can find better.

Update: According to the response, I asked for a well done pizza, there were 100 college kids in the place, it is impossible to cleanup after people, and I have never worked in the restaurant business.

1. I have never, in my entire pizza ordering life, asked for a well done pizza. It was burnt and I was starving after waiting almost an hour. I ate a couple of slices and caled it good. Made me sick too, but whatever.

2. there were five girls at one table, a couple outside, a threesome outside, four young men inside, and two of us. Photographic memory comes in handy sometimes, unlike your mathematic skills.

3. The place was a wreck, regardless of how many people were in there. Look around at how filthy it is, even when no one is in there.

4. I have worked in the restaurant industry for quite some time. So good luck.

Be humble and...

My first bite was crunchy and hot... and not quite anything else.. It's quite an unfortunate first taste into what the other reviews claim as "The best pizza in columbia!" I agree with the other reviewer who claimed that the pizza was bland and tasteless.

In fact for me and my party, we needed to sprinkle salt across the entire pizza to get any taste of any of the vegetables or cheeses or sauces on the pizza! How strange, it seemed that none of the ingredients had any seasonings on them, nor the crust, nor the sauce or the cheese for that matter. This is absurd, the crust tastes like a hard cracker yet I would prefer biting into an actual cracker instead. All and all, I do admit that it was very crunchy but that’s the only redeeming factor.

Coming down from NYC, tasting each slice, there was never one bite that didn't wow me, even the slices for a dollar! You guys are charging above $20 for a large pizza! You can't offer no flavor on the slices. We came sober, immediately after one bite, I felt the need to add some seasonings to the pizza that was desperately missing. I wish I could say this would only be for the gardenia pizza we ordered, but the fact that all of the ingredients are bland is a horrendous sign for any other pizza coming out of...

Hearty hometown pies in an unpretentious setting is exactly what I look for. A great crust with some black is what I need. My first time trying out the new Blue Pizza was today. Growing up in CT, pizza was taken for granted because there were just so many places around every corner that could bake up a great pizza. During my time in Columbia, I've been vastly disappointed with what a restaurant will turn out. I've had frozen pizzas better than some in the area.

I started with a classic plain pie to test out the new neighbors. The crust was strong and chewy with a great toast on it. It's the thickness that I would expect from a good standard everyday pizza joint. The sauce and cheese are on the heavy side. If you like that, you'll really enjoy this place. It's refreshing to be served a pie with a good helping of sauce because that's what many places miss out on. I love sauce and theirs is hearty and fresh.

I think that the only downside to this pie was that they were a little heavy on the cheese which isn't my favorite trait.

Overall, I was really happy with the pizza and the price. I'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work and welcome to the...
