UPDATE:

Steve the local manager reached out personally after seeing this and kindly invited us back. We were able to come for dinner tonight and had a wonderful time, wonderful food- reminding us of our pupatella in VA!

The servers were kind and generous and especially patient with our son. We look forward to going back, and hope we can try more options but my go-to will always be the margarita and the nutella pizza! This was our first time trying the arancini, and will for sure get that again along with the lemonade.

please know I reached out to the management regarding this issue first before writing/posting and after a week still haven't heard back, so ultimately decided to post here.

My husband and I were so thrilled that this location was opening. We have always wanted a Pupatella closer to baltimore.

On his drive home from DC we were planning to pick up pizzas, so I called ahead to order for easy pick up. The woman on the phone said we couldn't order ahead, and said the only way we could order was in person- But don't worry, it will be 15 minutes. Fine, so he goes to the store, and immediately sees people picking up to-go orders, proceeds to place an order around 5pm, and 45 minutes later gets the pizza, and now has to drive home at the height of rush hour. For the cost, it was incredibly frustrating to get a cold pizza an hr and a half later.

All of this could have been avoided if she had just told us we could order online which I found out later when submitting the complaint to management.

this was so frustrating because we love the product and have had only good experiences in VA. i am sure they're working out the kinks but need to flag this so that leadership can train front of house as to how to navigate phone...

Pupatella (Columbia, MD) - A Genuine Neapolitan Experience Pupatella in Columbia, Maryland, establishes itself as a premier destination for lovers of authentic pizza. Backed by the VPN (Verace Pizza Napoletana) certification, the quality is evident from the moment the pizzas emerge from the wood-fired oven, featuring the characteristic airy and slightly charred rim (cornicione). To evaluate their range, we sampled two fundamental classics: the purity of the Margherita and the complexity of the Capricciosa. The Margherita is the perfection of simplicity. It's a testament that high-quality ingredients need no embellishment: the San Marzano tomato sauce is bright and balanced, combined with fresh mozzarella and a touch of fragrant basil. Each slice is a pure bite of Italian flavor, a gold standard for this iconic dish. On the other hand, the Capricciosa is a delicious, multi-layered adventure. It comes loaded with classic ingredients—cured ham, mushrooms, artichokes, and olives. What's noteworthy is how the base remains structurally sound under this variety of toppings; the dough is still tender but robust enough. It offers a wonderful contrast of salty, earthy, and umami flavors that make every bite a different experience. If you're looking for the unmistakable Neapolitan crust (soft in the center, crispy on the outside) and flavors faithful to tradition, both pizzas are an excellent choice and demonstrate why Pupatella has such a...

We just had a truly fantastic dining experience, and it was largely thanks to our server, Kevin. From the moment we sat down, Kevin was an outstanding presence, proving he genuinely enjoys what he does. He didn't just take our order; he went above and beyond, checking in at just the right moments, anticipating our needs, and making us feel completely taken care of without being intrusive. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor really set the tone for a wonderful meal. Of course, the stars of the show, besides Kevin, were the pizzas. We decided to try two very different options, and both were absolutely delicious. The spinach white sauce pizza was a revelation—creamy, savory, and perfectly balanced, with a wonderfully flavorful crust that held up beautifully. Then we dove into the tomato artichoke red sauce pizza, which was equally impressive. The vibrant red sauce, tangy artichokes, and fresh tomatoes created a burst of fresh flavors with every bite. You could tell both pizzas were made with high-quality ingredients and a real passion for flavor. Honestly, between Kevin's exceptional service and the incredibly tasty pizzas, we were thoroughly impressed. This spot has definitely earned a top place on our list for future pizza cravings. We'll definitely be back for more of their great pizzas, and we'll certainly be asking for Kevin again! It's rare to find such a perfect combination of excellent food and...

My Wife and I went here because we saw it reviewed on reels. It looked really good. We sat outside since it was a nice evening and that was great. Our waitress seemed like she really didn't want to be at work anymore. Maybe she was tired but just wasn't warm and fuzzy. We ordered the bruschetta which looked great when it came out but lacked flavor. The presentation was nice but the tomatoes had no taste. Definitely needed some seasoning. They tasted fresh but bland. We built our own Nepotalitan pizza with regular sauce, fresh mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni and red onions. We wanted to add Spinach but they only allow 4 toppings (cheese counts as a topping) because the crust is so thin. When the pizza came out it looked great. 4 pretty good sized slices. The beef pepperoni was cooked well, the sausage and mozzarella had a good flavor. I liked the crust my Wife didn't too much but the biggest issue is the middle of the pizza dough didn't cook all the way through and it was still raw. Because we both started eating it from the crust inward (you couldn't really NY pizza slice this thing) we didn't find out until you got to the end. This happened to us both on our second slice. There were some bright spots but overall a lackluster experience for us. We had high hopes that we found another pizza spot, but alas that is not the case Try it for yourself you may like it, just not our cup of tea.
