I have been coming to this bar for years , started when I first moved to Columbia and attended u.s.c . Last night was my last visit .
As I attempted to walk into the bar I was denied entry because I did not have a Carolina card . Since when do you have to be a college student to go into group .
I then watch the bouncer allow 3 people that came after me into the bar without showing a Carolina I.d in fact they didn't show any I.d !
My friend who I was going to meet was already in group therapy and he also did not have to show a Carolina I.d .
I then confront the bouncer and let him know that my buddy was in the bar and he did not show a Carolina card . He says he will make an exception and let me in . I'm allowed entry but the damage is already done .
When I walk in the most of the patrons look to be in there 30's and over and the majority are white. My buddy is also white and so was the group of 3 that was allowed entry after me without showing any I.d . I'm not one to shout racism so quickly but I definitely felt discriminated against .
I told my friend what happened and we immediately left I will not spend a dime in any place that is going to treat...
Read moreThis use to be a comfortable place to enjoy a drink. Ever since that Tanneyhills cat bought it and placed his wack ass last name in front of it the place has gotten progressively worse. You see alot of underage girls there. I have seen quite a few fights there. Those are to be expected; what is not expected is being turned awayvat the door. I was refused entry the last 4 times I went. Once for my shirt, then my hat, after that is was my pants, this last time I was refused entry because I wasnt a student and could not produce student ID. The average drinking age of a college student is 21-23 so they intend to fill a bar with a 3 year age demographic. All the while I can't get in because I'm 30 with 5k cash in my pocket, thats fine. I'll spend my money in Vista like an adult with a little bit of class. This is trash bar that caters to...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed with my experience here. My friend, who uses a wheelchair, couldn’t get through the barricades while waiting in line. She politely asked the bouncer (ginger with glasses) if she could wait near him until the rest of us made it to the front, and his response was beyond unacceptable. He told her “too bad” and said he "couldn’t help" because she was in a wheelchair. When she asked again, he shrugged and said, “She can get in the line if she wants — it’s not my problem.”
This place clearly does not prioritize accessibility or inclusivity. The staff showed zero understanding, patience, or basic human decency. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you or someone you’re with has any accessibility needs. Completely unprofessional and...
