What was Annie's place, then La Patrona has a new owner, flavor and name: Los Michoacanos Bar and Grill. "Bar" might be missing from the sign, but it'll will go up as soon as the city irons out the liquor license. Right on the fork of College street and Ferry Rd, the interior is brightly colored, full of warm light and boasts three giant windows. It is clean and they have the tables spread out to allow for social distancing. Even though their name paints them as a Mexican Restaurant, they have a variety of options. The owner, Mariano, has been a culinary visionary for a long time. We ordered the Burrito Mexicano, the Ribeye sandwich with fries, the Grilled Chicken plate which my 12 year old devoured, and the Ribeye encebollado (covered in sautéed onions). I ordered three street tacos which came with beans and rice. I also ordered cheese dip. I had steak, pastor, and Carnitas tacos. The steak taco was well seasoned the pastor was chewy. The Carnitas was dry. The rice was hard. The beans were bland. The cheese dip was watery. It was an ok amount of food for $19.50 But the quality just was not worth it. This little hole in the wall will surprise you. Food, service and overall experience was so far above the curve ..... and (if your from the area) you don't have to drive all over the state! These folks genuinely care about the food they serve and the people they serve it to. The city of Columbiana has a hidden gem of an eatery. ENJOY 😉 !!!

I've added recent pictures of a blackened chicken salad and a shrimp salad ..... both were excellent, as always and the folks that run this place are top notch. When you want great food, service and an overall wonderful dining experience .... I recommend...
