Boulevard Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Columbus

Walking in the place has a wonderful vibe good music to dance and sing to. Most of the staff was amazing! (And I mean most of them... not all) I was having a great experience for most of the night I drank nothing but water. Until about a couple hours of being there I was headed through the front entrance to go outside. I was stopped by one of the employees, was asked for my ID, as he said I looked really young, read my name out loud and asked if I was there with my boyfriend, saying no he pointed to the other employee at the podium near the entrance introducing him as Luke? I think was his name and was laughing and opening the door for me. Following not too much later than that I was walking back inside and the same guy stopped me again moving with my steps about 5 inches from me so I couldn’t pass. After that I wasn’t comfortable anymore traveling through the bar by myself. Trying to enjoy the rest of the night I continued having members the group accompany me every time I went outside. On top of that from my friends the liquor is watered down and the only available untampered alcohol would be a beer for them. Great looking place on the inside and mostly (See below) super friendly staff so I was excited upon arrival for a friends birthday with a large group. Unfortunately, that didnt last long. Liquor was watered down. Confirmed by others, even in shots. After a couple different drinks I decided to just switch to beer. What kind of bar doesn't have ANY beer on tap? At least I could trust the bottles were untouched. The bouncer also creeped out my friend by randomly asking for her ID 2 hours after getting there because she "looked young", saying her full name out loud, asking if her boyfriend was there, and then introducing his friend when she said he wasn't. He then stopped her a second time in the evening to talk which led to her asking my friends and I to accompany her whenever she went outside. Great food and very reasonably priced. Also great drink specials and fun themed events around the holidays! It’s bopping enough to have a good time, but not so busy that you cannot get prompt efficient service or utilize one of the many pool tables available or the dance floor where u can enjoy a great mix of songs from their in house DJ. I have been here many times now after moving into the neighborhood and never had a bad night. it’s a very relaxed place to hang out and let loose. All staff is friendly and Welcoming and remember your name , and the restrooms are always very tidy and clean. Shout out to my favorite staff member Lilly for always keeping the party going strong even if the crowd thins out a bit.
