CHAMP'S CHICKEN & HANGER 54 PIZZA — Restaurant in Columbus

Went to this LJS location last night to get dinner for the family as I was passing through town (we live in a small town a half hour away). Placed my order, waited in line for about 20 minutes after ordering and then received our order. I'm used to the wait as it is usually 15-20 minutes after you order on the few occasions we have ordered there. My complaint is that the chicken planks were dark brown, not golden, and all had a burned taste to them. Called and asked if there was a way to get a credit or anything for the next time we ordered as I was already home and was told there was nothing that could be done and that's just how it was essentially. Kind of disappointing since the only other option for LJS is in Omaha. Hopefully someone sees this and they fix the customer service issue as well as the apparent quality control issue. Haven't had LJS for quite some time, woke up wanting it. My family lives 45 minutes north of Columbus and we decided it sounded good. The reason I gave my four stars for the services. The service was good. Unfortunately, it was the people in line that had no clue to look at the menu board and kept asking questions. It's right there in front of you. The atmosphere was okay. The place was pretty dirty. Didn't look like the floor had been swept or mopped for quite some time. The condiment section was filthy and the tables were not wiped off. Now for the food the fries and hush puppies I couldn't believe were great but the fish and chicken was brown and you could ring the grease out of it. I'm mad at myself for not taking it back. We wanted to go to LJS because we lost ours in Norfolk Nebraska. We finished with our business in Columbus Nebraska and call and told one of our significant others that we would bring them home LJS. We went to LJS at about 430pm and the door was locked. A sign said that due to being under staffed that they were closed. We walk over to the drive thru and stood there hoping someone might ask for our order. After awhile someone finally came on the intercom and said that she couldn't take our order because of being understaffed, she was closed. That was the one thing that we were looking for was eating at LJS. We were very disappointed. After reading some of the other comments maybe we didn't miss anything anyway.
