China House — Restaurant in Columbus

We ordered from here about a month ago. We opted to have our order delivered. When we opened everything up literally everything smelled burned, to the point none of us could get pass the smell to eat it. The egg rolls were so over cooked that they were almost hollow. The crab rangoon was overcooked as well and hardly any filling inside. The sesame chicken was burned on the outside and undercooked on the inside. I called them to let them know about how bad the order was and they said they were getting ready to close and would credit me for my next order. So its been a month so we decided to try it again. I called to place my order and I made them aware of the previous credit, the person kept saying “order please”, so I went ahead and placed the order then she asked for my credit card #. Again I said you guys owe me for a messed up order she said I know credit card # please. I again repeated the entire scenario again, and she hung up on me! So at this point I was so frustrated that I drove to the restaurant. The person behind the counter immediately said “order please” I told her that I was the person she had just hung up on and she repeated my order then asked “cash or credit card”! I said I have a credit due to a previous order being horrible. She then said okay what was wrong with the order and the only sentence I got out was the egg rolls were burned and she said fine ill credit you for the egg rolls we do not offer credits!! I was so frustrated that I told her we would NEVER order from there again and walked out the door! So im out $40.00 for food that was in edible!! Was totally willing to give them the benefit of doubt and try them again! All I can say is businesses that are not willing to replace a botched order and totally lie about promising the replacement are certainly not worthy of my patronage! Cant tell you whether the food is good or not!!! Certainly dont and wont eat food from folks that deceive...

I have been a customer of this restaurant for over 11 years and by far think it is been the best Chinese restaurant in the area I have had an extremely bad experience with this restaurant instead of them telling they were unable to deliver due to being busy they told me that my card was declined and I was shocked so I tried another card she told me that card was declined and told me to call back and hung up on me quickly when I tried to call her back and explained myself she told me she was busy and hung up on me again . When I was finally able to get her to listen to me and explain to her how long that I have been supporting her business and thought it was the best Chinese restaurant by far all she could do was apologize instead of just telling me they were way too busy to deliver she lied to me and told me my cards were declined so needless to say I will never be going back to that restaurant again and this is a very true story so if anybody else's experience things like this. I encourage you to post about it because we should not be giving our money to businesses that don't appreciate it especially when I'm a single mom and I work very hard and my children are hungry and I really didn't have the money to spend but I was doing it for them. as hard as it will be not to go there and get food I will stand my ground's...

Have you ever been to a place and your order is delicious?? This place is one of those. I definitely appreciate the food ALWAYS being hot & fresh! It's not just sitting back there under lights precooked so long ago that the food itself has gotten bored. 😴 Unfortunately, I've experienced quite a few places like that and not so long ago. However, at China House, the food is made to order, AND I've never been disappointed. The General Tso's Chicken, beef & broccoli, fried wings, or shrimp are definitely must-haves, in my opinion. Don't be afraid to mix things up a time or two by trying different sauces (Gen Tso, YumYum, or Soy) on the fried delicacies. I believe that in the process, you'll find that China House has a deliciously extensive menu to accommodate your buds.
