Columbus Corner Bakery — Restaurant in Columbus

WARNING WARNING. WARNING OMG people don’t waste your money or time . She doesn’t deserve the one star . We paid them almost $100.00 and couldn’t even eat it. This is the review I promised in person to give you when you was refusing to do nothing. The business NOW is horrible. She is destroying these peoples old name . In the past from the previous owners it was great back then. The new owner is so rude and has no idea how to run a business or deal with customers and she is fake. The cake for my daughter was three times over priced. The new policy there is pay before the customer can see it because the customer can’t refuse it at the last minute. we already got their money lol The cake was not ready on time along with several others . They walked around lying they can’t find it . We came back in a hour still not ready . The owner was acting like this was a everyday occurrence . Another customer in there we didn’t know said our cake looks “horrible.” Looked like it was a last minute thought and rushed. The owner was unbelievably rude making it our fault her help don’t come to work . Maybe she should pay her help a lot better . She’s not skilled enough to do the work herself . It was old ,slung together, rushed and horrible and taste like it too . We just threw it in the trash .But she got paid. The owner said she loved it but everyone else hated it . Even her employee and the people in her own lobby telling us I wouldn’t want to pay for that and gosh she is so rude to y’all with your little girl standing here with y’all. She will be out of business within a year . She can’t ride on the other peoples great name and reputation to long . People you have a choice go to pat-a -cakes bakery 2518 on 2nd ave like we should have. Columbus corner bakery should have stayed closed. WE WILL NEVER RETURN even if it was free …. . My experience was not positive. First time visitor with a friend because of these ratings and because it seems like a nice little place to get some sweet treats. We walk in, no hello, greeting, nothing. Granted another customer was at the counter but after a few minutes of looking at the offerings, still nothing. I would've been satisfied with "I'll be with you in a moment". So we're still viewing sweets in the case and 2 deli customers just stare at us like we don't belong there...the guy almost walked into a cooler staring at us. The customer at the counter is finishing up, girl behind the counter still just basically ignores us like we aren't there. So we left as the customer was leaving and she could barely open her car door from staring. I mean she bent down to peer at us through the window of the car next to hers. It's a good thing my friend and I aren't hotheads. We could've very easily reacted in offense but we shook our heads and laughed, yea this place is not for us. I understand the business can't control people but it can control its atmosphere; not acknowledging a customer's presence even when busy is just not cool. This bakery would've been great for my cupcake habit and getting vittles on my way to work because it's...

I had booked a party for my child and the facility hosting said they included a cake in their packages and the cakes were from Columbus Corner Bakery. When I went to the Bakery to tell them the decorations I wanted on the cake, the young lady that helped me didn't even know if she could do what I was asking, but she was more than happy to write down my order and collect my upcharge for changing the decorations. When I called back to cancel after checking with the facility that was hosting the party, I asked if I had to use them or if I could go through someone else and they said I could go through someone else but would have to pay a charge to bring in a cake from outside. I called to cancel the cake with Columbus Corner and at first the girl couldn't even find my order then she wanted to argue with me over what day of the week the date I had booked was. Still no refund on the surcharge. Guess that is the cost of learning the lesson.
