Ambiance: The restaurant in located in an older strip mall that just looks tired. Inside the atmosphere was welcoming but somewhat out of place as large stainless steel ceiling vents cover a majority of the tables. Giving the place the feel of a Japanese Teppanyaki Grill Steak House verses a Korean restaurant.

Service: Big marks here! Granted I was one of only a handful of patrons in the restaurant at the time of my meal. Even so our server was sooooo way on top of things that I never had a reason to ask for anything.

Food: Came into Koreana to try their hot pot bibimbap and was not the least bit disappointed. Fresh ingredients perfectly julianned and cooked in a hot dolsot bowl with a good amount of marinated bulgogi beef and rice. Served up with homemade kimchi. Excellent! The spices in the red sauce/paste were also on target, balancing the right amount of flavor with just a hint of heat, and the pot was fired up enough to crisp up the rice the way it was meant to be served. I could go on and on but trust me if your a Dolsot Bibimbap lover you'll be more than happy coming here.

Something Special: After I finished my meal, my server brought out to me some Cinnamon Tea as a gift for desert. It was fantastic! It had a slight bit of sweetness with the right amount of spice to add both flavor and a bit of sting. I get sad just thinking about the very real possibility that I won't be able to find any place that serves tea like that when I get back home.

Cleanliness: The place could use a fresh coat of paint and/or paper on its walls. At least to cover the chair scuff marks. There was also some dust on the ceiling air vent that was over my table, which is fair to say was the only high dust I could see in the place. Generally, everything was more than good. All the tables were freshly wiped down, the floors vacuumed and sweep. The bathroom was spotless. It also looked as if it had just been remodeled with fresh floor to ceiling tiles. The only glance I had into the kitchen happened while walking to the bathroom and that looked even cleaner than the rest of the place. Honestly, Koreana has been one of the cleanest restaurants I've been to in Columbus.

Overall: Food and service is fantastic Give this place a new set of digs and you've got yourself a...

Came for lunch and was disappointed. This was my first visit here too. Go to golden chopsticks or korea house. Way better service, menu, atmosphere, and prices at those places. Originally came to koreana for the bbq but the price was double what i pay for at 167ยฐ korean bbq in Auburn. Not only that but the bbq menu was only a few options. 167ยฐ Korean bbq has a very large selection to choose from...like over 20 different things versus the 5 or 6 options they have here at koreana. So i ordered just a lunch meal. I got a tiny (i mean really really tiny) bit of kimchi and bean sprout on my plate. No variety of endless pickled sides like i do at the other 3 places mentioned. Service was meh. The waitress was too busy to hear me ask any questions. She was the only one there but it was not busy at all. I think i saw 4 tables which includes my party of 1. On the other hand she quickly produced my check. I attempted a few times to get her attention then gave up. Took a bit longer than expected to get my meal or maybe it was the lack of pickled sides that usually helps pass the time i dunno. This placed really sucked for me and way overpriced. My first korean bbq experience was amazing at 167ยฐ so if you want a great experience make the drive. You'll be...

Moldy tofu and the absolute worst customer service. My wife was served miso soup from the large pot given to everyone. She noticed that the tofu in it looked exactly like blue cheese, a sign of mold or rot. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress, she tried to brush it off as green onion coloring. I knew she was bsing and tasted the tofu. It was disgusting and mushy. I've never had tofu like that, and for what it's worth, I'm Asian and cook tofu all of the time.

Her only response was to offer us another bowl of moldy tofu soup! I did not make a scene and asked for my check. She proceeded to ask me what race I was, and when I didn't respond, she called me a bad customer. The audacity to call me a bad customer when I paid full price for a meal with moldy tofu, I couldn't believe it. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. This restaurant is clearly highly rated because there is a lack of Korean restaurants in Columbus. Restaurants in Duluth blow this place out of the water in terms of selection, quality, service, and...

My wife and I had been wanting to try korean bbq for a while now and tonight we did. When we arrived at the restraunt the outside isn't very inspiring and is in an old shopping center in columbus. Upon going inside we were immediately glad we did. It was very clean and the smells coming from the kitchen were heavenly. We were sat quickly and our server was super good to us. We ordered drinks and our food, fried dumplings, seasoned beef Bulgogi, a bibimbop bowl, rice and all the fixings to go with it. The staff was so welcoming and helpful to us and made us feel very welcomed. We cooked our meat and from the first sizzle of that meat until the last delicious bite we were captivated. We both left full and happy. The portions were large and so tasty and the pricing was very reasonable. I think our final bill was 48$. We will absolutely be back thank you Koreana for a great experience

Great comfort food and such a homey vibe! It is definitely a spot to go that isn't too loud or busy. This restaurant is a hidden gem among the hundreds of restaurants here in Columbus. I ordered the Bibimbap and the food came out very fast. The food tasted great and came with miso soup...I usually do not like miso soup but this one tasted amazing. Service is also exceptional...staff is very nice and friendly. At the end of the meal, they brought us a cup of cold brew tea that had hints of ginger and cinnamon to help our full bellies feel less bloated. We didn't order it and it was very unexpected, which made it feel like I was eating at grandma's...very nostalgic. The tea was definitely the cherry on top of a perfect meal!
