This place is nothing short of extraordinary. The loaded tots with black beans were a revelation—a symphony of flavors that transported me beyond the confines of time. Each bite was an embrace of comfort and nostalgia, a culinary time machine drawing me back to the warmth of my childhood and the sacred joy of my mama’s homemade meals.
The crispness of the tots and lettuce (an unexpected love) was like the crunch of autumn leaves underfoot, a fleeting yet unforgettable texture that gave way to the tender richness of black beans, seasoned as though whispered secrets of the earth had been infused into every morsel. The layers of flavor danced together, a harmony of salt and spice, a melody of warmth and depth, as if every ingredient had been chosen to awaken memories long tucked away.
As I ate, I was overcome by a swell of emotion, a tide that carried me to the kitchen of my youth. I could almost hear the sizzle of pans, feel the humid warmth of a bustling stove, and see the gentle, loving hands that prepared each meal with care. In this dish, I found not just nourishment but the essence of home, a connection to love and life itself.
It was, without a doubt, the best meal of my life—an experience so profound it felt almost spiritual. This plate of loaded tots wasn’t just food; it was art, memory, and magic...
Read moreReally disappointed with our experience here. We’ve been wanting to try it forever, based on the awesome reviews from the vegan community. We drove 45 minutes to get there (one way). Start our order and realize the option to get vegan chips and queso regular isn’t listed, and there’s no option to make the totchos vegan. Go inside and ask and he says they have it, but he doesn’t know how to help us. He guesses maybe they’re running low and they aren’t offering it because they don’t want to run out. How does that make sense? We verified he has it and he says “yes, but I can’t give it to you because my boss must want us to save it since maybe we’re running low. “ I’ve never heard a restaurant say anything like this before - so what happens to their stock they have now? What’re they saving it for? Ended up leaving and given our drive with 4 kids, won’t make it back since they can’t serve food that is physically in front of them and want to save it for the garbage...
Read moreCame in for a carryout order of queso and chips, sat at the bar and waited, no biggy, thats as to be expected, and the bartender was super sweet, but I did notice an awful lot of flies hanging out. I got my order, left and walked back home, and whatever they are calling queso is not queso and looks nothing at ALL like the photos on their website. There are humongous chucks of what I can only hope is jalapeno? And other congealed lumps And the cheese itself is not the correct blend of cheese, and weird texture. The chips, also nothing what they appear on their website. These definitely look like store bought chips that were stale. Mind you, I arrived at 4:15, and they open at 4, so you would expect the chips to be fresh if they made them in house. Maybe I will give this place another shot with a different menu item one of these days, but I am definitely...
