Didn't know until I arrived that ownership had changed. They have no respect for the beloved place they acquired and it shows. It felt like if a hospital cafeteria sold bagel sandwiches. Service was ok, sandwich was whatever. I just couldn't enjoy being there.
It's gotten a lifeless remodel and been stripped of all the fun Yiddish posters and photographs of New York. Replaced by some generic ugly OSU stuff (Go Bucks, woopdy doo.) and tiny historical photos that are inadequate to the space. It's just dull and grey inside. Hate it. Even the logo is some sad, phoned in garbage. The bagels are supposedly from Blocks at the moment but apparently they plan to phase that out. I would expect to keep seeing the quality degrade in other ways as well. You can just tell, they dont care.
Worst of all, they are being sued for trying to undercut the former owners on their agreements. It's in the Dispatch if you're curious
They are shady and don't respect the community. If they did they would have...

One of the times it was the owner who seemed intent on finishing a conversation with an employee that had nothing to do with work bc I was standing right there to listen.
Just now I walked in and seven people were working. Three looked at me. Finally someone came over and said "sorry our payment system is down, one sec". I left because it took her a while to come tell me "one sec".
Also the drink cooler was broken twice so they didn't have cold drinks.
Really a shame as it's the only bagel place close by. But I'm done...
Read moreToday was my second time coming to this place and I only did that because I needed to take my medicine and it was the closest thing to me. My first experience was awful as well as this one, the customer service or the lack there of is terrible. When you walk in, no one says hi. But everyone spoke to the Caucasian gentleman that walked in after me, though SMH same type of experience, I had the first time except for they acted like they didn’t see me standing in line when a Caucasian gentleman came and got in front of me so I just didn’t get anything at all. I just left. I will never come here again no matter what the food taste like no napkins in my bag or anything, they acted like they really didn’t wanna...
