GC Pho has the best Banh Mi I've found in Columbus - so yummy! It's the closest I've found to what my Vietnamese students used to make for me, so I'm going to say that makes it decently close to traditional. The bread is crusty, soft, and flavorful, and the pork marinade is delectable....top that with a bit of spicy may, jalapenos, and cilantro, and it's a sandwich I could easily eat every day. I haven't tried their pho yet, but the noodle bowls are just as delicious as the Ban Mi - and plenty of food for dinner and lunch the next day or for two people to share, especially if you order a few spring rolls! Seating space is limited to maybe 8ish tables, which are often full, but take out is quick, hot, and well-packaged with all of the components each in their own separate little containers. Prices are lower if you eat in or take out than if you order through a delivery service like DoorDash or GrubHub, so keep that in ind when you order. Either way, it's worth the drive or the tip to the delivery driver to enjoy...

So Columbus has only a few Vietnamese restaurants. When moving here I quickly became patterned to going to the same places.. buckeye pho being the one I always went back to even though it’s 30 minutes away and it isn’t the same place I fell in love with..I can now say I have a new love closer to home. GC Pho opened two months ago and I regret not coming sooner. You can tell their food is made with love and time. It feels homemade and the people who own and run the place show their customers as much love as they do the food. The broth in the pho was made with a good balance while the meet and ingredients were fresh and prepared correctly. The Banh Mi was a home comfort food and had the right amount of cold cuts and other ingredients. All the rest spring rolls, dumplings, etc. we’re all very delicious as well. After writing all that.. I’m hungry again. Maybe I should have waited to write this after I left...

It's cold and rainy, as it often is in Columbus. You want something to eat and you don't want to cook. You've got a cold, so you don't want to muddle though a sandwich cause you can't breathe while you're chewing.

You side eye the Jimmy John's next door and slide on into GC Pho instead. You've heard about this stuff on Tik Tok, so maybe it won't be that bad. You've got no idea what you're looking at on the menu, so you poke around for a couple seconds before just getting the special and trying out a spring roll. Congratulations on making the best dining decision of the year.

Everything on this menu is out of the park. This place has got me eating things I've never even heard of and loving it. Their Bahn Mi are 8 bucks a pop at the time of writing. You can get two whole sandwiches for the same price as a sub anywhere else. Imagine that. Do yourself a favor and have a...

I ordered Bánh mì đặc biệt and Thai Milk Tea with Tapioca Pearls. The banh mi is delicious! The tea wasn’t good in my opinion. It does not taste like thai tea, tastes too sweet for me personally; like almost like they used condensed milk. and the tapioca pearls, i don’t think are tapioca pearls. they’re like a transparent orange brown color and has a texture of hard jelly. Edit: came again (as it’s my new favorite food spot) and this time i was given two free items from the bakery section! the man at the cashier said it’s because i come often. So sweet of them to do that! Makes me want to support them even more now for their good service; and of course, their delicious food.
