I would like to start with me and my family have been eating here for years and years and the food has always been great but I was highly offended tonight , I brought my wife and kids in for a nice meal but the owner came out right before we left and told my son that he better not ever wear a hat back in there because of what was on it and she went on a rant over it , I was so caught off guard that I was speechless but I politely walked out and will never go back there again, I’m a business owner and I see folks wearing hats and clothes with words or people I don’t agree with but as a business owner it’s highly unprofessional to verbally attack a customer, I hope it was worth losing several families business to come out and harass an 18 year old that was just trying to have a nice meal with his parents,I’ve included a picture of my son with this review

This is a reservation only dining venue with fresh, local ingredients. The chef takes your order and immediately goes to the back to prepare it. White linen tablecloths, water pitchers, dim lighting, it's a great date night place. It is on the pricier side, but the food tasted amazing in return. This wouldn't be my go-to weekly, but I would see myself coming for celebrations. Check out their Instagram for updated menus as they constantly change. Reservation is via text message only.

AMAZING! I have visited J. Broussards a few times, and it is always a treat. It is an intimate establishment with friendly service and individual care (the chef takes your order!). The food itself is spectacular; her chicken schnitzel is honestly the best chicken I have ever tasted. Paired with their extensive wine selection and their house-made desserts, you can’t go wrong! The menu changes fairly regularly.

Tonight my extended family including our daughter, USAF Pilot, chose to spend a celebratory dinner at this restaurant. Our mother/grandmother, ate 1 bite of the shrimp and grits meal and realized immediately it was too spicy for her to be able to digest. Immediately she asked to change the order and the manager, Whitney, said she would have to pay for the meal despite the fact the meal was not described in the menu or by the server as being spicy. She would have to pay for the meal she did not eat but one bite, in addition to any other meal ordered. It was very disappointing to have such poor customer service and the manager, Whitney, disappeared after making this decision. No consideration that the company failed to relay at any time the meal was very spicy nor any concern for the customers’ needs, not the extensive expenses paid by the party. We will never recommend this restaurant to anyone considering their failure to relay the temperature of the foods and failure to understand their customers inability to digest those spicy foods and rectifying the situation for their customers. Very...

J. Broussard's family owned and operated restaurant is a hidden cullanary gem in the Golden Triangle. Kind service and vibrant fresh flavors made last night's dinner one to go back for.

Never having dined here before, I asked for the chef's recommendation on a dinner selection; she was more than happy to share her facorites with me before hurrying back to the kitchen. Ms. Mary created an intimate and friendly environment as both bar keep and hostess while Chef Beth crafted our dinners in the kitchen. The plates brought to the table were a triumph in flavor. Fresh, colorful, and savory combinations that balanced acid, fat, and salt over well cooked protiens made for a dinner I can't wait to go back for. To boot, the dessert was I indulgent, smooth, and just simply devign. My singular regret is that I didn't know about this wonderful little nook earlier. Thank you Ms. Mary and Chef Beth for an extremely enjoyable and well...

Normally the food is great at this restaurant. However, on Valentine's day, my wife and I made a reservation for 8:30 pm. When we got there, it took a long while to get seated because multiple groups of people were placed into the 8:30 reservation window. What I also found out was that there were only a few menu options available for that day, since the menu was set up such that you had to have a 4 course meal and pay $50 per person. While I understand that upscale restaurants will do this on days where they are expecting a high volume of customers, the establishment did not give us a prior heads up that this would be the case, and, quite frankly, I wouldn't put the food served here in that upper price echelon. By the time we got our desert, the employees began closing the restaurant as the time had passed closing. I like the food here, but this experience really soured my perspective on...
