Mike & ED’s Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Columbus

I ordered a Boston butt about 2 weeks ago through the high school Thanksgiving service, I came to pick it up today, a day was told they did not have it and I could come Saturday and pick it up. I asked why they did not have my order as they had over a week. Girl said, we must have miscounted. Was I the only one? No last count we are down 15 pre ordered Boston butts. Bad business miscounting like that. On a Holiday... What I believe happen is the day business was more than expected and they used the pre-ordered to make more profit. I will never any recommend company that barbarians their customers or a company that is inept at counting as they can not be depended on..... There are many bar b ques in Columbus and Phenix City that have great Bar b que, and in my current experiance real customer service that has lasted. Chicken Comers has great everything, as does Sunrise bar b que on river road. I Support well run, traditional honest local business Of which I can depend on. Mike and Eds bar b que , I find shamefully Undependable, will barbarize there customers when profitable and by their own admission inept. Cant tell you what the food is like, just that I will never give my money to any business with shoddy practices. I do expect to pick up the 3 day delayed order on monday, IF available, only to stop them from reselling it.

Such a cute little spot. Just moved here from WA and was very excited to try some BBQ. Mike and ED’s had friendly kitchen staff. I believe the gal in the kitchen was a manager (forgot her name sorry I think it started with D?) she was kind, excited to see us, and made sure to offer us the deals of the day. We came on Thursday which was $1 wing day. In the food picture I ordered 6 lemon pepper wings and Mike’s Special. It was SOOO GOOD. Even though there was a hostess who processed our order the gal in the kitchen carried out our plates and served it to us and made sure we were happy and content with our food. Because we arrived 1 hr before close, the food was delicious and the service was wonderful this review and my experience deserves 5 stars. We have already been back since our first visit in less...

Love MnE's. Used to eat at the old restaurant off veterans years ago. I'm leaving this review because I want them to succeed and they're slipping on the details at this location. They were reliable when they first opened but now about 50% of the meals I pick up are just ok. Missing sauces, pathetic sandwiches with not enough meat (got a 'big' turkey sandwich with probably two thin slices on it), and overcooked fingers and bbq. Hope this place can tighten up on these details. I'm not picky and I was happy with the good value here, when the food was more consistent. Keep the quality and value high and you'll get my business...
