I’ve been coming to this Subway location for a while and have never had a problem until today. Unfortunately, I had an extremely upsetting experience that I feel compelled to share. I placed my order through the drive-thru with the manager on duty. Everything seemed fine at first, but when I pulled up to the window, a young man with dreadlocks (light-skinned, no name tag) greeted me with no smile, no greeting, and didn’t repeat me order or provide a total. He simply took my card, charged me, and handed it back without a receipt. So I immediately checked my banking app and saw I had been charged more than usual for just a footlong sub. I honked to ask for a receipt, the manger gave me the receipt. That’s when I saw that a TIP had been added to my total without my consent which is completely unacceptable. I calmly told the manager what happened, expecting it to be corrected. Instead she gets an attitude telling me there was nothing she can do. When I asked for a refund, she became highly rude and dismissive. Talking about she pregnant and she don’t have time for this. I decided to go inside to resolved the issue and things escalated further. She told me she’d have to call another manager only if I didn’t get an attitude. Meanwhile, The same employee who added the tip started cussing, pulling money out of his pocket and even accuse me of being hard up for money, he took money from my card without my authorization (STEALING) no one ever apologized instead I was treated as if I did something wrong. The store was hot, unclean, and completely unprofessional. The manager she tried to contact was not answering the phone at first, and she seen more annoyed then concern about what was clearly happening in front of her that her employee stole money off my card. If customers aren’t double checking their charges, who knows how many people are being overcharged or have tips added without their knowledge or permission is not just bad customer service it’s dishonesty unethical!! I will never return to this location again. I hope Subway corporation take this seriously because this kind of behavior both the theft and the way I was treated is absolutely disgraceful. Read morePlaced an online order, tipped 20%, paid online. I arrived to pick up my order at the drive thru. As I pulled around someone had a sandwich hanging out of the window to hand off. My order was 2- 6 inch meals with chips and 20 oz sodas. They gave me someone else's order but didn't even stick around to see if I needed anything. I stayed at the drive thru until someone noticed me sitting there. Finally what looked to be a manager came to the window and asked what I needed. I informed them that I received the wrong order. After taking it, they came back and informed me a gentleman had already picked up my order. I had to explain that there was no one else picking up my order. I received a look and was asked to park. No apology for them giving my order to someone else, more so a look like it was my fault somehow. I waited, parked for an additional 10 minutes. I had 2 young sick kids whom the sandwiches were for. I could not take them in. After waiting for my order, a young lady brings it to me. One of the sodas was wrong and one of the 6 inch subs was about 4 inches and barely had any meat. It was also the sloppiest sandwich I have seen. I was done dealing with this store so I called to let them know I was unsatisfied but I wasn't wanting a refund. They do not deserve the 20%tip I left, but it's fine. I still never even received an apology. I didn't get a receipt either. We waited for over 10 minutes then when she came back on her headphone she was extremely rude and i told my husband I no longer wanted to eat there because her attitude was nasty . And we told her she then told us she was the manager . I called to the store and asked for the managers name and she said she would not give me that information and hung the phone in my face . I called back to the store and asked for the managers name again and she said it’s private information and i said no it’s not if you are a manager . She then laughed and i told her i was going to contact corporate and she told me do what you have to do . I will never go back to the Subway on schomburg road and i have even began to call my family and friends and tell them not to go there either .
