Perfectly Balanced Macarons and Coffee, warm staff, and beautifully clean interior. Mjomii are masters of textures and flavors and artful execution.
It was our first time trying them and we’ll be life long fans.
We ordered 19 different flavored macarons, a mini Ispahan macaron cake, a Kenya AA hand drip coffee, and butter mochi tarts. We also got nama chocolate samples.
The coffee was amazing. No harsh bitterness. Bright and slightly acidic but smooth to drink. Well balanced. A wonderful pairing with the sweets. Best pour over we’ve ever had.
The Ispahan macaron cake was mind blowing. Wonderful macarons (crisp shell, fluffy and slightly chewy inside) with a lightly sweet and floral flavor, amazingly fresh raspberries that are sweet and tart. Amazing, a must try.
The nama chocolates are delightfully slightly bitter (dark chocolate powder maybe?) to start, then melt in your mouth for a beyond smooth and rich experience.
We so far have eaten the pistachio (dense and rich filling), and the milk and lavender (mild, delicate, and nuanced flavor with light and airy filling). It’s so clear the quality of the ingredients. The flavors are pure with no overwhelming sweetnesses or artificiality. The textures are perfection.
The staff were on first name basis with like half the people in line and knew of cats and loved ones, so it’s clear how much they care. Very lovely.
Thank you! 💖
Update: still amazing on all fronts, and their matcha latte is the best...
Read moreI've been a fan of theirs since I got some macarons at a pop up shop at a market event I went to. I'm glad they finally opened a store! There's plenty of parking in the plaza, limited seating, free wifi, and nice clean atmosphere. The store is beautiful, simple, and fresh.
I got macarons this time because it's my favorite thing to get from their store. I tried 9 flavors, some new to me, some I've had before and all delicious. They're just the right chew, the flavor is good, not super sweet but not diluted. My all-time favorites are Strawberry Cream, Milk and Lavender, and Pistachio. I would recommend experimenting and trying them all to find your favorites. The macarons are a bit expensive per single pastry ($2.50) but if you buy 6 or more they're $2.25. I feel like their products are a bit of a treat yourself or a special treat because they are a bit expensive per pastry. The nice thing about having the store front is having drunk options. I didn't try any this trip, but they looked and sounded delicious from what I saw. I would probably try it next time I come back.
Staff was very nice and so kind! I feel like they make quality products and seem like they pay extra attention to each drink and pastry.
I recommend this place if you're looking for a snack, some coffee, a place to study alone, or interested in trying their macarons and other...
Read more6/15/23 This is an excellent spot. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. The staff are professional and provide excellent service. The mochi tarts are amazing as are the coco merengues. I can't wait to try everything they have. I'm very happy to have found a place that resonates with my heritage and culture. I can't wait the come back. Update: 6/22/23 I did, in fact, return to Mjomii and picked out 7 or 8 macarons to try. They really do have something for every pallet. The texture is spot on and the flavors are, in some cases, culinary genius. The also make great tea and coffee beverages. 7/14/23 This is my 4th visit and it was just as awesome as all the rest. I came in closer to closing time. I usually come right when they open or late afternoon. I'm happy to see them selling out of certain flavors as well as the mini cakes. This means business is good and they will be here for a long time. I think this shop is so great for this neighborhood and adds to the great diversity of Carriage Place. The staff here are always super nice, every single time. They make it look easy. After discovering Mjomii, I come once every week. They are open 4 days a week. So, I get enough to...
