On Wednesday 7-23-2025 I wanted to find a new restaurant with a different menu. Well this is it so let me tell you about it.
Easy to find on east Main Street of Bexley in an older small strip shopping area. What attracted me to the place was the availability of both goat and plantains.
The menu is simple short and adequate for different flavors. My choice was the small goat curry for $14. This included two sides. First choice was banana fritters but they were not ready yet. The chosen items were peas and rice with plantains. Good sized helpings of both.
Differences… the plantains don’t come with any dipping sauce. Still great and a good amount. The peas and rice is Jamaican speak of red beans and rice so you’ll not find green peas in the rice.
Good nonetheless. I brought my own unsweet tea having a feeling the drink selection would be limited. They have bottled water and an assortment of bottled drinks that must be soda/pop.
Served to go or to eat there in white foam compartmentalized containers. About seven tables and a small pool table. Colors and decor reflect an island look. Take cash or credit. Credit does not provide a tipping function so bring cash.
The restaurant has been sometime in the making having opened a few months ago. Menu written on plaques hung on the wall. Believe the owner cook’s name is Marlene. Nice person taking her time to explain the dishes.
The curry goat was well done and required being eaten by hand. Reason for that is the delicious meat is boiled stewed and not BBQ as I thought it might be.
Fish, goat, meat, chicken with sides and deserts are waiting for you. Next time seems like it should be jerk chicken time.
Go. Enjoy. Help out a...

And while they are taking your order it takes 15 min because they keep stopping to do other things and assume your done after ordering each meal even do there is four of yall that came in together. And as they taking your order one that's leaving will take a customer behind you order and then say she leaving. So now you got to wait for the order behind you to be done before you get yours. I didn't even get to order my food because after I put the ones with use put their food in she walked away put their orders to be made and rung out other people then tried to come take mines as theirs was coming up. So I decided not to eat here at all. Mind you some of the food they have online they don't serve anymore. They barley...

I ordered a jerk chicken meal with rice & peas and cabbage. The chicken was not saucy compared to how other Jamaican restaurants prepare their food, however it was moist and seasoned to perfection with a hint of a spicy kick. I did have the option to add oxtail gravy or stewed chicken gravy on top of my rice. The stewed chicken gravy has a savory taste that pairs well with the rice. The cabbage came with mixed veggies and it had flavor! Overall, I enjoyed my meal. This will definitely be my new carribbean spot when I am in the Bexley or...
