I'm rating this 5 Stars for the STAFF....TB Food is what it is, a step up from NIFDA Government Issue...IN DELIVERY METHOD but otherwise it's the same G.I. I've been reading through reviews and I have to say AGAIN this 5 Stars Review is for the STAFF...In-STORE STAFF. Unfortunately they work very long hours WITHOUT BREAKING and usually under even the best of circumstances generally 5-6 people short for the store to run at optimum peak performance. The fault lies with the franchisee/owner of the location. They severely under-pay as they start 97% of non-salaried employees at the National Minimum Wage and when the unusual employee remains long enough to be up for review they disperse raises for non-salaried employees in increments of ¢.10 per hour and it's not unusual for them to not even extend that. Coupled with adding delivery services with ZERO TRAINING on how to operate them sufficiently, computer hardware that has to be subcontracted out because no one in store is capable of traversing the chaos it simply is, absentee upper management who are as aware of all of this as the owners themselves are as they see these reviews BUT are content doing absolutely nothing to correct the issue. They're happy with you taking it out upon the indentured they employ and the in-store management they outright claim to own and only the squeakiest of complaints are even offered resolution but because the offer was extended doesn't mean they'll follow through. Because it's Taco Bell and it doesn't matter if there a 3 employees working until 5am with a drive thru wrapped 9 hours straight and average ticket times resembling more WELL DONE Steaks from Outback Roadhouse and much less FAST FOOD and that's because they don't discourage patronage from those who've imbibed in any number of saloons no matter the level of inebriation. Otherwise they know, despite nothing good coming from being out later than midnight, that when the substance of choice peaks and begins to fade plebians and troglodytes alike will venture out, braving law enforcement types because... THEY'LL EAT ANYTHING!!! These owners know exactly what it will take to solve the problem....as do I. My opinion isn't based in ANYTHING other than experience. I've worked in food service for 20+ years, predominantly in casual dining and as both employee and 8 years of salaried management...INCLUDING 2, yes 2/TWO stints in salaried Management w/ this concept and for two separate franchisee's. I love restaurant work and I prefer efficiency and quality and in a casual setting and that's why I've only dabbled in FastFood and that's also why I will NOT dabble again. And lastly I also bring nearly 40 years of experience as a GUEST in dining establishments including Taco Bell and I too have experienced every frustration imaginable from a Guests standpoint and I know the maddening feelings those frustrations evoke BUT I honestly try to have more patience with food service, Taco Bell especially because I know how bad it is and in all honesty if more people were aware then #1 they too would sympathize and #2 something might finally be done to address these deficiencies and REAL CHANGE, benefitting the employee and patron might be put...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis used to be my favorite taco bell cause it's so close to home, it would usually be fresh. But the last 4 times I've had issues. First, I ordered ahead on the app to pick up after work and my food had sat on the counter 2 hours when I picked it up and it was soggy and cold. I didn't realize how old and gross it was until I was home. Why would you do that in case the person doesn't pick up? Usually you place the order on mobile then it's there to easily start making when the person gets there and checks in. Second, I tried to pick up in the drive-through and was told to park in a spot. I waited a long time and everyone else was getting their food first. I got my food eventually and drove home to realize I got someone else's food so I had to go back. At least the worker was nice that day. Third, I was ignored about 10 min in the drive-through another night so I pulled ahead when a line was forming. At the window, I was still ignored while an employee slammed stuff around inside. Another employee appeared and initially ignored me then I asked if they were having problems and if I should cancel my order. They told me to park in a pick up spot and couldn't find my order at first. Then after waiting another 10-15 min, it turned out the fryer was broken? So they finaled my order so I couldn't cancel it and get my refund. I finally got a response from a manager and should be getting a gift card for that order. Today, the fourth time, I wasn't feeling good and was home from work and really just wanted fiesta potatoes so I placed a delivery order. When it came, it was just a Doritos taco and nothing else. The fiesta potatoes was the whole reason I ordered. What happened to this taco bell? It used to be the best. I really wanted those fiesta potatoes today...I try to be nice every time I'm there, and it takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but I've been getting really frustrated at my wasted time...
