We were first impressed with the greetings and politeness of every employee that we encountered. Even standing in line to wait for food we were spoken to in a friendly manner and was nice to experience.

Price is on point and actually cheaper than most "fast food" from the common chain stores. They currently have a deal with your choice of sandwich with chips and a fountain drink that is only 8.99 before tax and tip.

The taste was great, we tried the chopped pork with the OG sauce and it's exactly what you'd expect the mild sauce to taste like in our area. Wish we had a touch more sauce, just to soak the bread a little, but they do sell additional cups of sauce. We did forget to "add bbq slaw" that we planned to, I wish I was reminded about that, but they were busy and doing their best at getting us served.

I've been dealing with restaurants for over 20 years in the stainless fabrication and vent hood business and in that you learn when someone is dedicated to a place and it's worth giving your hard earned money to. Planning, starting, managing and maintaining a store takes HARD work, sleepless nights, help and support from family and friends, and a drive to provide the best you can possibly offer. So when I look around and see employees working as a unit, smiling, things clean that are often overlooked, and filled dining tables, you know something must be going right.

First off the ribs were great. I tried all three sauces they were great too but the ribs did not need them. Sent my wife in to Emerald's because I wanted some ribs bad. The staff was excellent in assisting her with my order. She called me letting me know I could get a half of slab or whole slab. I'm usually concerned with buying a slab and having them cut because many bbq spots short change you on buying a slab especially when they cut them up and dont give you the tips. I was glad to know they do not do that, the gentlemen who if I'm correct was the uncle said "do you want the juice that come off the slab we will give you that too." 🤣🤣🤣 Jaiden aka Smile provided excellent customer service and made great recommendations for desserts and upsales. My wife having a background in customer service is always impressed when an establishment takes pride in hiw they treat their customers and Emerald's did not dissappoint. We supported this business when they were on Blackmon rd in the food truck and I'm excited to support them when they open their dine in location. Thanks for providing consistency in the food and service. I recommend 10/10. Oh yeah I didn't get sides this time but that cabbage and those greens are 🔥🔥🔥🔥. OK Columbus.....your BBQ joints have a new contender. I was absolutely blown away by this amazing food. The chicken was amazing, flavorful, and moist. The flavors melted all the way through and had excellent flavor in every bite.

I got absolutely lost in the sides. They were the best I've had in years at a restaurant. I felt like I was at Grandpa's backyard bar-b-que with grandma making the sides. You can tell they take pride in the quality, quantity, and ingredients.

The mac n cheese will have you begging for more. The collards were perfect. They have fried green tomatoes coming to the menu, and they are excellent as well.

The staff will make you feel right at home. They were courteous, accommodating, and attentive.

As always, I'll throw in any cons I observed.........other than the drink selection when I was there, I can't think of anything. It was a super enjoyable meal. The sweet tea was just right.

It's hard to find a place that shows pride in what they do. They hit the mark....and the prices are well within range of what you'd expect. For what you actually get.....it's a bargain.

I had to try the banana pudding......I was OMG!!! That's all I'll say.
