My husband and I went to The Goat for lunch on our weekend stay in Columbus for our anniversary. We ordered two burgers, fries, fried pickles, 2 alcohol beverages and 2 sprites. Our food and drinks were great but our service was not. When we entered the restaurant (whivh we've never been to) they waitresses said hi and walked away but did not tell us to seat ourselves or nothing we just stood there for a few minutes then decided to go seat ourselves. After we sat ourselves we waited 10 minutes for our waitress to come to our table. We were very surprised that we waited so long especially because other than us there was only one other table with 2 people in the restaurant. When she came up to our table she asked if we were ready to order. Mind you no one seated us, no one gave us menus, no one asked if we've been there before.. We told her that we needed a menu and she told us that due to covid we had to scan the code on the table and that it'd pop up. We did so and ordered. It took 20 minutes to recieve our food and then we weren't checked on again. We received no napkins, no refills, no questions on how the food was..... nothing... So after we finished we waited about 10 minutes for our waitress to come (she was up front on her phone the whole time talking with the others that worked there) she never came. So, I had to put my had up and say excuse me can we have the check. She came over and asked us if we needed anything else and I asked for a box. It took her another 15 whole minutes to get the check and 1 box.... My husband and I will not be dining here again due to the...
Read moreThis was our first time at this place. We weren't sure which door was the front so, we followed the person in front of us. There was a piece of wood on the floor keeping the door cracked open because the handle was completely off. We walked in and no one greeted us. A girl sitting at a high top table by herself told us to seat ourselves. We sat outside and it took the waiter a long time to come take care of us. So long that we went inside to see if we order at the counter. When he finally arrived he asked us what we wanted, but we hand no menu. So, he took this block thing from the table next to us, tossed it onto our table and told us to scan the QR code. The service tonight was very poor. You could tell that they didn't care about you. We waited 40 minutes for our food which ended up being mediocre. I got the Gyro and it was bland. My daughter got the Southwest Burger which she said had no seasoning. My mom ordered The Goat and Chicken with bun on side because she is gluten-free. When she asked for a fork and knife a waitress said she gave us one, yet there was no knife. Since service was very slow, we knew it would be awhile if we asked for one so my mom had to use her fingers to break the chicken into pieces. If you're looking for a restaurant this place is not it. I think it is more for the residents than...
Read moreRACIST Establishment! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN TREATED SO BADLY! I stay in new Albany, and a friend invited me and some friends to the Goat in Gahanna. We sat at the bar and the bartender Melinda M, right off the back tells us, in order for us to order drinks or food she needs to run our credit cards LIKE A pre-authorize! Plus hold our card! I’ve never heard of such a thing! Melinda didn’t do it anyone else but my group! So I tell Melinda M she is going to take my complete order then she can run my card and give it back to me! I guess this upset her because she took 45 mins to bring me out my Basic salad. She gave all my friends their food and when I asked her about my food she told me I’ll come out when it ready and she can’t do anything about it-all while shaking her head and rolling her eyes n then she giggles at the end. So after everyone was done eating she brings my salad out, never asked anyone for refills, just a nasty attitude! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY HERE! Go enjoy yourself somewhere where you business is appreciated and valued! Btw Later that day I went to the goat by my house, not once did the bartender ask me for my credit card to...
