Tio's Diner is a gem in South Columbus. Having been a fan of Dan's (see original review below), we were disappointed to see it change hands. But then we went to Tio's and we couldn't be happier. The Mexican breakfast we had (chilaquilas, breakfast burrito with chorizo) was wonderful, the portions were huge, and the service was exceptional. We will be back often. Original Dan's Diner review: Classic, unpretentious diner with excellent service and large menu of food you would expect. We ordered chicken & waffles and a skillet hash of some sort. The hash was quite good, while the chicken & waffles was a bit under-seasoned. I would pass on the coffee if you can. It tasted like rubber. Service was very friendly and attentive. I will be going back next time I need my diner fix.

Haven't been to this place in a couple of years. Came in and there was probably 8 people inside and a bunch of tables that needed bussed. They made you sit in front section which was the mess. 3 waitresses working but basically only one doing any work. Not good. Well it must be shift change, two of the three just left. Had the Meat Lovers Skillet Bacon, ham, sausage, green peppers, onions and scrambled eggs mixed with homefries and topped with shredded cheddar and mozzarella mix. It was a little dry but a ton of food. The toast had no butter on it. This place has definitely gone down hill since my last visit. I give the one waitress that stayed credit but she was in a drowning situation.

I waited for over an hour to get my food. Which I never received. I rhad to get my own drinks 3 times. I will not be coming back to this establishment again. If Mary is going to have an attitude because a patron specifically asks for their food to be prepared than she shouldn't be a waitress. Not only that but 2 other tables left. As well as she serviced every table that came after us. We came at 11:15 and left at 12:15. It's truly unacceptable to be treated like such. If it has something to do with Race then I will ensure that no other people with be coming to that establishment since you guys are so uppity. I will be calling back at 2:30pm EST to talk to Management about the lack of service me and my family was provided. Also the bathroom smelled I sewer and hadn't been clean. When I called the girl chuckled at me when I asked for Management and that's completely fine. If this is the environment that you guys are running then I will ensure by any means that I will spread the word about the lack of service and...

I would say if you’re looking for a decently priced Mexican meal then this is it. I thought it was cute that they had their daughter serve us that if I had to guess was maybe 8 years old. Not sure why she wasn’t in school at the time since it was a Wednesday and it was only 1:00pm but maybe she is homeschooled perhaps. I ordered the enchiladas supreme and it was not meeting expectations at all for me. The rice was okay but the enchilada lacked flavor. No spice nothing that screamed wow I should come back here. I was a bit thrown off by the decor. Yes it’s Danes old drive in diner which was a favorite spot of mine for many, many years but they still have decor from the diner up mixed with Mexican flare so it didn’t really make much sense cosmetically for a Mexican restaurant but I enjoyed looking at Elvis’s face while eating my lunch. Didn’t have the waitress come check on us at any point until we were finished with our meal. I would say I was truly...
