First and last time going. Ordered over the phone for take out. My wife asked for plain chicken because she gets really sick if any gluten is in the seasonings or marinades. They said sure. Got home to discover it was not plain. It was marinated. I called to find out what it was. The manager said it says gluten free meat on the website but could not confirm anything because she had no access to ingredients, but thought it should be fine cause nobody complains. So we had to throw it in the garbage. We cannot chance it. Also I paid $20 for the smallest amount of food I've ever gotten. My wife's meal was 3 tiny bites of chicken for $7.00 (1/4 lb). Like the size of a thigh. Mine wasn't much better. The green beans tasted super weird so I threw that in the garbage. Dry overcooked food, cold meat. Lots of potential. Too bad. The picture shows what we were charged $7.00 for. It's like 3" x 3" worth of food.

IT'S A TRAP !!!!! The prices are obscene for what you get! The BBQ meat is "Ok", but nowhere near home smoked or food truck level though better than fast food. The real issue is the prices. 22$ for a small dinner consisting of two tiny sides and 1/4lb of brisket! $4.75 PER tiny 4oz sides that is (literally) 8 TIMES the price of say Kroger for the same thing is insane. Generic Colesaw for 19$ a lb??? yea no thanks. 32.50 $ for a lb of "ok" dried brisket???? Yea, No thanks. The place was dead on a Friday night and it's no wonder. I was embarrassed for the workers there (Who were very nice BTW). They were obviously embarrassed at the price gouging. Don't take my word for it.. look at my photos. Those small amount of beans and slaw alone was $10!! These prices would make The movie theater's concession stands blush. Forget "inflation" this just unabashed price gouging.

My son and I stopped in tonight for the first time. He had a brisket with 2 sides and I had pulled pork with slaw and fried okra. We both thought the meals were great and we'll be back again. If anything the sweet tea could be a bit sweeter. It was a little pricey however everyone is charging more because everything has gone up. Our bill was worth it! Great meals and thanks for cooking dinner for us!

EDIT PLEASE READ* After being so quick (same day) to make themselves look like customer service matters by posting a reply saying they care and want to make things right, just email them with info. A week later and no contact from them. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW* Stopped in today to use entertainment coupon I had purchased helping out a neighbor kids fundraiser what seemed like forever ago. First thing first I spoke to the employee behind the counter, presented the coupon and made sure what my options were before ordering. I ordered my two "westerner" sandwiches and the special of the day some sort of BBQ meat smothered fries. When it came to paying for my order the person at the register had no idea about coupons. (Bad training), then the manager comes from the back (Peggy I believe her name was older lady with glasses) and says something along the lines of "you cant get that sandwich with this coupon do you want to pay extra or switch it to a different one" UH, neither. I specifically asked your employee what was my options and I chose one. (AGAIN bad training) So she turns to the employee to scold her in front of customers. That woman is a horrible manager and has no business in customer service. It was a very simple "our mistake that is not one of your options but because you were told it was and its already made THIS TIME I will do this for you." This is basic stuff here. Truly pathetic I...

I love Dickey's Barbecue Pit! I have never had a bad meal from here and I have had many many meals over the years. My preferred menu item is the "three meat platter" so I can get a variety of the awesomely smoked meat choices they offer. My personal favorites are the chopped brisket with pulled pork and the smoked chicken. (I must admit I often add a rib to make it four meat. Lol) In addition to their incredibly tasty smoked meats, they offer really good sides as well. My favorites being the coleslaw and the potato salad. And I have to give a very special mention to the macaroni and cheese, it is one of the few, if any, mac and cheeses that I will eat from a restaurant. Last but FAR from least is the cornbread. OMG! This is the best cornbread in the world! I can't even begin to tell you how buttery and moist it is, do not do yourself a disservice by not adding this to your meal. I have only one complaint, I am not a fan of their Texas toast as it rarely seems to be toasted/broiled long enough. I wish you could still substitute the Texas toast for the cornbread in the Three meat platter. So if you're in the mood for a great smoked barbecue and don't have the time to do it yourself, or are just too lazy to do it like myself, treat yourself to an amazing night and a spectacular dinner at Dickey's...

Prepare yourself to stand in line. This restaurant has an awful process to order and get your food. No matter how busy they are, there is one person prepare the meat and it takes forever. The owner rushes around like a big shot barking orders, but never doing an actual work. On a Friday or Saturday night, it will be 30 minutes of standing in line to get your food. Evidently the owner has not realized adding another person to prepare the meat might speed things along. Of course, that would mean paying someone minimum wage to help satisfy the customers.

Then there is the food. A two meat dinner has about 8 ounces of meat, so hopefully you aren't too hungry when you enter, cause if you are, when you exit you will still be hungry. The food isn't bad and the sides are adequate but also small portions.

If you are lucky the ice cream machine might be working and you can have an ice cream cone to make up for the small portions of food.

I went to this place once and ate, then walked out before being served two other times due to the screwed up ordering process. The girlfriend made me go again and that will be...
