I gave one star only because I wanted to write this review. First time I went here, the staff consisted of a bunch of teens/young adults talking about people they were dating and how much they wanted to go in break--loudly and in clear view of customers. I felt like an inconvenience that they had to ring me up and make my food. When I finally got my food, they got my order wrong and ignored me when I told them it was wrong. I ate the food and left, deciding not to come back.
However, my husband likes the food and wanted to give them another chance. So five weeks later, we go through the drive through. Sat there for a minute or two with no response, so we asked if anyone was there. Oh, hey a human! Then he keeps dropping off and finally asks us to come inside to order because they're having technical difficulties. Okay ... oh wait, a car is blocking the drive thru so we can't go around (they're waiting for food it turns out they ordered 20 MINUTES ago) so I get out and go in the door next to the drive thru.
There's six employees just standing around in back and three people waiting at the counter. Guy in manager's outfit is trying to do something in back, no idea what. Employees keep glancing at the front but ignore the customers. Finally one guy gets a key card from his manager to try and get the register working and fails. Won't make eye contact with any of the people waiting and doesn't speak to us. Recieved no acknowledgement from the six people working there and after a few minutes I walked out. Then we had to wait another five minutes for the woman to leave who was waiting for her food (they couldn't ask her to pull out of the way and just run her food out to her, apparently. Maybe they did and she didn't trust she'd get it, wouldn't blame her.)
We left and drove across the street to KFC where the service was 100x better. Will not be going back to Popeyes and I urge others to avoid this location. It's terribly managed and the employees they have staffed have made it plain that working in the service industry is the absolute last thing they want...

I had been running errands all day and was exhausted. I had a craving for a fried chicken salad. All I needed were some tenders. I would usually just run into King Soopers, but I didn't feel like dealing with Saturday parking and the lines inside. As I was driving down 104th, I noticed there was only 1 car in the drive-thru at Popeyes (right across the street). I thought "This must be my lucky day! There is no line at Popeyes!"
All I needed was a 5-piece spicy tender order to throw in my salad. I assumed I would be able to get my order without much of a wait. And I did! The young man who was working the drive-thru window was nice and polite. He handed me my order, we chatted about the cool tattoo on his finger, and I was outta there!
I got home to find that I was only given a 3-piece order (but I was charged the correct amount - $9.79 - for a 5-piece order) AND the tenders were dry and tough! It was very difficult to tear them with my hands to throw in the salad.
I understand that mistakes happen when places get busy, I get it. But, there were no more than 2 cars parked in the parking lot, so I assume there weren't many people in the restaurant and there was only 1 car ahead of me in the drive-thru. There appeared to be enough people and time to get this order right.
At that point, I was highly annoyed and exhausted, not the best emotional state to be in when having to address a matter such as this. So, I did not return to address the missing pieces. To be totally honest, I am not sure if I will be returning to this Popeye's location. This was a simple order on a slow Saturday afternoon and it was messed up. I don't expect the service to be any better if I were to return at a...
Read moreIf I can give this place a fat zero (0) then that is what I give them. I usually come here to have lunch as I work nearby and I complete the survey about the place. Well, today I went in and the cashier called the manager (the Mexican lady) and she pretended to punch in on the register and said "this is the wrong code". And I said what wrong code??? She said the register isn't taking the code. I am thinking she didn't punch in a code last time I came in with a survey. So I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and paid for it and asked for a fresh made sandwich. And the manager said "it's fresh just made it." Then less than 30 seconds later, she came back with a sandwich. I thought this can't be that fast as I just paid for the sandwich. I repeated to her that I want a fresh sandwich then she argued with me saying that it's fresh. I asked her when.. she said when they opened. I looked at watch and it's 11:30 and Popeyes opens up at 10:00 and there's a bunch of already fried up chicken breasts sitting in the baskets above the prep area!. To top it all off- she said that she is refusing my order and gave my money back! Good because you gals are liars. What a lie! These people are cheating me out of a fresh sandwich $5.49 is what I paid for and I expect a fresh made to order sandwich and not something sitting around attracting flies. I read other reviews about this place and I agree the entire management and crew needs to be FIRED!!! They don't smile nor greet you when you enter and you have to wait a long time to get any service! BAD BAD BAD!! Don't go to this Popeyes,...
