It was super crazy here today. Lots of families and screaming children. I am not sure that I have been in a coffee shop with so many screaming kids. My plan to stay and linger with my coffee became on to exit because I was looking for a peaceful place to enjoy a cup of coffee this morning...this was definitely not that space!
It was great for those families to find a family friendly place, that created space for loud children. Just never thought of a coffee shop for this space before?!?...
You may want to rethink your "grab up and go area" by the register. Those kids were also touching the drinks and parents were ordering and unaware of what their kids were doing.
While I am not a huge germ person, I nonetheless made a mental note not to order anything from that section. Also made sure that I selected an item that was on the upper counter, out of the reach of little hand
Who knows what was on their hands as they literally were touching the drink bottles. Bottles their parents had no idea they were touching and were left behind for future customers who would have no idea small children had been previously playing with them.
With this in mind, they would be unaware of a possible need to take the extra caution of washing or rinsing those items in that area. (A very likely would not have the means to if they were eating in their car. They touch the now contaminated bottles and pick up food with their hands and who knows what they have just ingested...)
With this in mind, you may want to either rethink your register or the "grab and go boxes" for the health and safety of your customers...
While it's the parents' job to ensure their children are not touching stuff in the boxes. When they are looking up at your staff to order, it's understandable that they might not be aware this is happening....
This is Definitely a concern for me in choosing a location in...
Read moreWe walked in to get a cup of coffee and the staff member didn’t say anything to us, just waited for us to start our order. No hello, good morning, nothing. The other staff members looked less than enthusiastic so this wasn’t a real big surprise. Normally when your order is done the staff brings it out to you, nice and personal, not today. The group before us had their pastries handed to them across the counter where we were paying. We sat down waiting for our order which was on the counter waiting for us to come and get after they called it out, at least half of it was ready. The other items were for the customer behind us, and she had to ask who the drink was for because she didn’t hear the name that was called out. The staff member brought us the two remaining drinks.
It isn’t that the service is so horrible (although the lack of hello was pretty unprofessional) it’s that if your going to do what everybody else is doing, your customer service standards should set you apart. That’s what gives people the reason to come in. There are literally 9-10 other coffee places within a 6 mile radius of this Ziggis. Coffee shops are not in short supply and poor customer service makes it easier to go...
Read moreDrive thru was busy so we went inside to order. Waited about 7 minutes before we were even acknowledged. After ordering we sat and waited. Another couple ordered after us as sat down as well and after them a gentleman placed his order. Our kids orders were made, not correctly I will add and we had to ask for straws. Still sitting and waiting the couple who ordered after us received one of their drinks. I noticed both of our other drinks sitting on the counter by the drive thru area. Cashier took out the gentleman's order as he was waiting in the patio area. Then the couple received their second drink. Once that happened I approached the counter and one of the baristas asked what I needed. I said "our drinks" and she gave me one of them. I had to tell her the other was sitting at drive thru. I asked for a straw and she said the were all out. 30 minutes we waited for 4 drinks which I think is totally unacceptable. I don't see us frequenting this location anytime soon. I would rather drive a little further to the location on 144th and I25 for better...
