Spot — Restaurant in Commerce

I moved to the area right at a year ago, since late July of 2024. I tried all the local bars in Commerce including restaurants that serve alcohol and the Spot is, hands down, my favorite “go to” place.

Since that first visit last year I have felt completely welcome. I am fortunate to have found a place to hang out in a new town. Making a move at my age was scary since I didn’t know anyone in the area. The employees at the Spot are very friendly and outgoing…. everyone…. the door person, the bartenders, the manager, the owner. If you are old enough to know the TV sitcom “Cheers” and the theme song “Where Everybody Knows Your Name”, then you can understand what I’m talking about. The second I walk in the front door, I immediately hear my name being yelled from the bartender, or I immediately see a familiar face that is greeted with a handshake, fist bump, or hug. Even after I’ve been at the bar for awhile and more guests arrive, I am again greeted the same way when the new arrivals for that day approach the bar. It’s just a wonderful feeling all the way around. I’ve made some amazing friends in the one year that I’ve been going to the Spot, whether it’s exchanging numbers or becoming friends on Facebook. I’ve had the pleasure of being asked to join a pool league, which I did, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I met new people doing that as well. I’ve been included in joining get togethers at different homes and when my truck was not driveable, I even had friends pick me up at home to go hang out and then bring me home. I truly have enjoyed the last year and I’m looking forward to more fun and meeting more people.

Well as places in Commerce go this is the best. They only serve beer but they have nightly beer pong tournaments and hookahs with plenty of flavor choices. No cover and the drinks are cheap. They allow you to bring in liquor and they never check ids. The place is pretty clean with plenty of seating but they don't serve food. The owner is pretty cool and is always one of the competitors in the beer pong tournament. As long as you bring a few friends it is surely...

A while back I had my first (maybe last lol) drinking night and got blackout drunk. The manager helped me walk out to the car with my fiance. He made sure I knew who I was with, which I am grateful for. It was a busy night and he did not have to care for me but he did.
