Acai Express — Restaurant in Concord

If I could give a lower review than 1 I would. I purchased a drink here that was disgusting and honestly didn’t taste like anything but cold. I purchased that AND a $3 single bottle of water. When I drank it, I took TWO SIPS! Mind you the drink was still completely full over full honestly. I told her I didn’t like the purchase and she could replace the drink even though I would’ve honestly liked my money back. She said they don’t do refunds. I said thank you and asked could she then replace the drink because as we both could see it was HARDLY drank from. She again said no, and I literally just left the drink with her because I had every intention of throwing it into the garbage so there was no point in keeping it. Moving forward I won’t be returning, the customer service was terrible. We have been going here quite a few times now. We frequent probably 1-2 times per month as Acai bowls can be fairly expensive. It has always been the same woman behind the counter and she knows exactly what we get. She makes them perfectly each and every time which constancy is key.

We have not once had an issue with quality or presentation throughout our visits.

The inside is a bit lack luster. Menu items they no longer sell just crossed out with tape/markers and it feels a bit dated in there - but it looks as though majority of the business is take out.

Service and quantity has gone down hill in the last year. The prices have gone up. The bowls are getting smaller and smaller. I purchased a medium and it had 4 slices of banana. When they mess up an order. They just apologize they don’t try to accommodate or fix the issue. For customers that come all the time they have no points program or acknowledge that you’re spending your hard earned money. We went from going almost everyday to going maybe every few months.
