Haute Coffee — Restaurant in Concord

The food is good, the space is nice, the servers are very polite, but the wait times are embarrassing. Every time it's been over 30 minutes for anything. Toast. Latte. Breakfast sandwich. Anything. People walk up and order an iced latte and are told politely it's a 30 minutes wait, and they're just baffled. How can that not be so embarrassing to tell every customer that to make you want to change things? I would understand it if they had just instituted a new process, if they were short-staffed, if the volume of customers was very high... but the volume is low for a coffee shop, and they've had the same setup since spring. Has to be the most poorly-managed coffee shop I've been to. I hate chains but for pete's sake just hire a former barista or shift supervisor from Starbucks or Caffe Nero and they'd have the place running...

I'm so excited to have such a great coffee shop near my house. When I moved here I thought I would only find really good coffee shops in downtown Boston but this place is everything I need.

I had some breakfast here and it was delicious. All the sandwiches they make in house are great but the real highlight is the baked goods. The Orange Olive oil cake was insane and the scones are always great.

This might be one of the coziest coffee shops I've been to with the exposed and beams and brick walls along with the nice decor they added. The coffee Itself is the real star here though as they use Counter Culture coffee and the Baristas here are very well trained. I love the specialty stuff they do like the Haute Latte. I’m providing this feedback because I used to love haute, especially the breakfast sandwich, and I hope the ownership can improve. What I received for $12.50 today was below sub-par. I understand that the success of online ordering has put pressure on the kitchen and therefore management has sought efficiencies. But clearly at the cost of quality.

Here were the problems:

The eggs and we’re over cooked and seemed like they had been re-heated.

The bun (brioche?) used to be light and fluffy, and instead was hard-ish and seemed stale.

The sandwich was ice cold yet delivered to me 15 minutes after the Square app said it would come out.

The tomatoes were unripe and tasteless.

The sandwich was doused in pepper, which overran the overall taste
