Double D's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Concord

One of the very few restaurants in the STL area that didn't jack their prices up 3 to 4 times the inflation rate of the rest of the country. Let's start with that.

But what is mind blowing is how generous the toppings are! I rarely order extra of a topping, and never have to get extra cheese, because those are always abundant. Thick cheese and pepperoni above and under the cheese if you DO get extra pepperoni. I recommend getting bacon btw, as you get REAL bacon crumbles AND bacon strips that are crispy and amazeballs!

Of course, the most important thing is quality, and Double D's never lets me down. In the 7 years of ordering from there, I have NEVER had a messed up order and I've NEVER had a bad order.

Also, their side stuff is awesome, especially the wings. They have the good ranch too! My only criticism is of the wings actually. Id love an extra spicy version, as the "hot n spicy" wings are neither hot nor spicy. But man are the delicious! I dont need my mouth scorched off every time i want wings. So you wing lovers out there, you are missing out if you dont try the wings. Good sized drummies too. They don't look like they came off a pigeon like most places these days.

I dare say, Double D's is as good as, if not better than, Imo's. Yeah I said it. Blasphemous? Maybe. But Double D's is awesome so i stand by my statement!

If you eat there, they have a small arcade, similar to a place like Happy Joe's if you're familiar. The place is very large, and the service is excellent EVERY time ive eaten there (and when I order out too of course!). I have passed this place so many times in the past 15 years, yet never stopped because I assumed it was more of a bar that offered pizza. I was wrong. I had heard good things about it from many people, but never went. After patronizing another local business, it was close and my family and I decided to give it a shot. We got the Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel bites, toasted rav's, and 4 different types of pizza. All I can really say is that they now have a regular customer. The appetizers were served fresh, hot and were delicious. The pizza is absolutely amazing, we ordered the St. Louis Style, so I can't speak to the hand tossed but can't imagine it is anything short of great. From the crust, sauce, toppings (which were generous) and cheese, this pizza was just unbelievable. The service was also up to par with someone checking on us continuously to make sure we had what we needed at all times, and we even got a show from one of the servers while she was showing what I believe to be one of her dance routines...lol. Overall a great experience and I dare to say now my close second favorite pizza in St. Louis from a non-chain establishment. I am originally from Boston, Mass. and was raised around old school Italians that know what "real" pizza is. I have been in the St. Louis area a little better than 5 years and have been searching for a good pizza since. I understand everyone here lives Imos but, it's not true Italian pizza. We tried Double D's pizza for the first time tonight and not only is the pizza fantastic but, the salad was very fresh and the service is A- # 1 The gentleman that owns the place has the most supporting unique approach to his staff of mostly high school athletes and students. He is a very good community supportive honest genuine person who cares very much for the students and athletes. I have to say this is the absolute BEST pizza place and fresh fgood I have found in ALL of St. Louis and surrounding areas I truly enjoyed every aspect of my experience with both the food, skilled very attentive staff, and a very community supportive owner who GENUINLY CARES!
