Korean BBQ plus! — Restaurant in Concord

UPDATE 2024 I'll have to update my review. I stopped by here the other day. The food is good and great quality.

A big part of my reviews, is customer service. The 2 previous staff I had dealt with were amazing and hence my original review being 5 stars.

This time, I took my wife here for her birthday and the Korean woman (she was the server) was giving us a cold demeanor (not welcoming, not acknowledging my family..etc). Fortunately, the few other Korean customers that were there were greeted very warmly. I've made 1000s of reviews and typically don't complain or make negative reviews unless there is something I strongly feel about. This is one of those times. It never feels good to be treated like you don't deserve to be there or like you are an annoyance.

If it was busy, I would understand the stress of being the only server, but even just walking in, giving us a stare like "what do you want". Nice place. Staff is friend. Food is delicious, Price is good. Parking can get busy at times because of the businesses around.

When I first came to this restaurant, I left feeling so full and pleased I knew I had to go back soon. And now I'm sure it wasn't just a one time thing- everything was just as satisfying the second time around. Having lived in South Korea for a year, I was left with a kimchi shaped gap in my soul when I got back to the States a few months ago. So I was delighted to find such a homely and delicious Korean restaurant so close to my house, with friendly ahjummas refilling your banchan and offering hot tea in the winter. Sure, you don't get to grill the meat at your table, but on the plus side your hair won't smell like grilled pork for the next 10 hours, and the meat is cooked to absolute mouth watering perfection. I will definitely be coming back here with anyone who hasn't had a taste of what real Korean food tastes like, and those who crave it as...

This place used to be really good with great service. Now the food is just ok, but the little salads are very good. Service is poor. Dishes were not cleared after eating, and we had to ask the waiter to get things we wanted. He just stood around and did nothing, never coming over to see if we needed anything.

The bbq chicken tasted flat and not fresh but it was edible. I think this place may be under new management or ownership. The older man that previously cooked and managed this place bent over backwards. These people could care less about service. They used to give a custard appetizer and a little dessert, but that is gone too...no frills! I may come back someday but it will be quite awhile. For now it's...
