Taqueria Mariscos — Restaurant in Concord

I have been a frequent customer of this place for a few years now however, I had previously gotten food poisoning from here a couple of years ago. I decided it was a fluke and gave them other chances. However, last night I ordered from them again, a chicken, quesadilla, and about three hours after eating it, I will become extremely ill, having diarrhea and vomiting all night.

Obviously, being this is the second time I’ve gotten food poisoning from the same place they are not cooking their food thoroughly and or they’re using old food.

If the owner of this restaurant reads this, you need to make sure that you’re cooking chicken to 165° and making sure that you wash it and prep it beforehand. You are feeding the general public and making people sick. This restaurant needs to have a health inspection done immediately.

Never going here and would not recommend anyone going here unless you want to chance getting food poisoning which I have gotten twice from...

The food is very good, BUT the hygiene is not. I use to go there often until I saw cashier going directly from e the cash register to the grill to turn the tortillas without washings his hands. I got up and cancel my order. I told him that what he was doing was wrong. He said that the lady who makes the tortillas was out and apologized. Today, I decided to give it a second chance. To my surprise as I was walking in I saw the woman making the tortillas talking on her cell phone. I stopped and stood there for a minute to make sure t she was going to go wash her hands before handling the tortillas to my surprise she did not wash her hands and continue making tortillas after putting down...

I can’t believe I slept on this place for so long. My friend was craving Mexican and the only reason we ended up here is that the other spots on Monument were closed on a Sunday evening. SO glad we found our way here. He saw someone eating the super quesadilla and had to have it. I ordered the fish tacos, and both of our dishes were amazing. So flavorful and authentic- this is unapologetically real Mexican food. The place was packed, and we were the only gringos in there, but they treated us like family and we left stuffed, happy, and already planning our next trip back to try more of the items from the huge menu. This is my new go-to for Mexican...
