Terrible experience at Beer Forest, made worse because the bartender who treated us this way was the manager. A group of us (all over 21) came in after a run to grab foodānot drinksāand were immediately met with hostility. Without a greeting, the manager demanded our IDs in an aggressive tone. Before we could respond, he pointed to one of us and accused him of lying about his age, saying, 'Heās not 21,' without properly checking the ID. When we calmly handed it over, he manhandled it, threw it back at us, and demanded we leave, saying, 'For lying to me, you have to leave.'
We calmly explained the birthday, and after scanning the ID, he realized heād misread it. Instead of apologizing, he doubled down, claiming the ID ālooked fake.ā When we tried to order food, he rudely cut us off, saying, 'Youāre taking it to goāI donāt like your attitude,' despite the fact that we remained calm and respectful throughout. At that point, we decided to leave without ordering.
The fact that this was the manager makes the experience even worse. His behavior was completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and hostile. He refused to admit his mistake or treat us with any basic decency. If youāre looking for a welcoming environment with decent service, steer clear...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe hamburgers are fantasticā¦but it is too bad the woman behind the bar has such a nasty attitude. Never in ANY dining experience ANYWHERE have I encountered such flippancy and rudeness from a server. Although the two of us were the only diners in the place, the bartender acted like she was giving us a real break waiting on us, exhibiting sighs and eye rolls as she took our very simple orderāthen, she couldnāt seem to even remember that she had taken it. She left the restaurant to go outside for a quite a while, and when she came back, she hung out at the far end of the bar. Ready to leave, we called down to her to get our check; she replied that she was having car trouble and to āhang onā. Another couple came in and sat down as we were leaving, and she was quite rude to them as well, yelling across the room to get their order. We mentioned this experience to friends and, surprisingly, many in the group said they had experienced similar, rude treatment. The business seems to be strugglingāthe reason seems clear to us!! I certainly want to give the businesses in Woodforest our support, but inattention and rudeness to customers is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is more of a try to get a hold of the owner about an employee. The bar/restaurant is great. Had a run 8n with an employee on the road yesterday. He was tailgating me then resisted to cut me off almost 5aking out the front end of my truck and almost side swiping another truck. He then sped down fishcreek at about 80. Cutting in and outta traffic. I knew where he was going because I recognized his car. Plus I live in the neighborhood. I pulled in infront of the bar and he slammed his car into park and came at my truck with a torque wrench. Luckily I had my son in the truck or it would have been worse for him. He complained that I shouldn't be following him and said him tailgating me and cutting me off doesn't matter. If this is the type of employee you want to have, that's bad on you. We all know if it was put on the neighborhood FB page it doesn't look good...
