My first experience with Crust Pizza in Woodforest. Purchased a calzone for my granddaughter. The problem is I was treated very rudely by the Cashier it was around 12 noon. I placed a to go order. The location was short handed one cashier. I came in thru the to go entrance to pick up my pizza. Being 73 years old I am Covid careful. I wait as the cashier finished taking the order From an eat in diner. There was a long line at eat in register. I should have been taken next line. My order was first and getting cold. At least the cashier should have checked if it was a pick up. I told cashier I was next he proceeded to tell I needed to wait but very rude in front of several customers. I almost walked out. But I beard the indignity. When He decide I should be served he asked fir my order, at that point I apologized for jumping the line. He said that was ok. I told him I was here to pickup an order. Signed my receipt even gave him tip. Now, If you have a separate entrance for To Go orders wouldn’t it be a good idea to check with the customer that just walk in the To Go entrance if they are here to pick an order rather than to make them wait their food that is getting cold & you told them what time to be at your restaurant. Also nWhy don’t you have curbside pickup for us senior citizens. I gave you 5 stars because a whole company shouldn’t be judged by one thoughtless young man. He messed with with the wrong gray haired lady. I am retired ARAMARK General Manager of Food Service 30 years. Managed several large venues Reunion Arena in Dallas.11years. University of Texas at Arlington 10 Years & Harris Methodist Hospital 9 years. I know this young man just needs a good talking to by his. Manager. He is working hard in a bad situation put a cashier or some who can keep an eye on the To Go register at 12 noon. I respectfully submitted this review with every good intention. Now go fix this problem today. I will be back to check. Great pizza & I am Italian I...
Read moreI had the best casual dinner at Crust Pizza last night and just have to talk about it. We decided to go all out and try a few different things, and every single one was a winner.
We began with the Garlic Cheese Bread, and oh my goodness, it set the bar incredibly high. It wasn't just your standard appetizer; it was this gorgeous, bubbly, golden-brown loaf, steaming hot and loaded with garlic and melted cheese. The flavor was rich and buttery without being overpowering, and the bread itself had that perfect crisp-to-chewy ratio you only get from a wood-fired oven.
For our mains, we went for two pizzas. I opted for the veggie pizza on their cauliflower crust, and it was honestly a revelation. The crust itself was surprisingly sturdy and had a great texture—crispy on the outside and definitely not soggy, holding up all the fresh vegetables like bell peppers, red onions, and spinach beautifully. It felt like a genuinely delicious and satisfying lighter option, which is hard to find.
My wife went with the classic Pepperoni pizza, and after stealing a slice (or two), I can confirm it's a masterpiece of simplicity. The pepperoni cups were perfectly charred and slightly spicy, the sauce was tangy and sweet, and the cheese was wonderfully blistered in spots. And that crust—thin, airy, and with just the right amount of smoky char—is what pizza dreams are made of.
The staff is so welcoming and courteous. From the cashiers to the waiters. They'd go out of their way to make your visit happy and enjoyable.
It was the perfect meal from start to finish. Whether you're looking for a classic favorite or wanting to try something new, they absolutely nail it. This place continues...
Read moreIt's been a while since I've had Crust and I am happy to see a local business expand as they have. I frequented their original location in Panther Creek. While I don't like their sauce, as I find it way too sweet, I do enjoy their specialty pizzas. Tonight was the first time ordering curbside from the Woodforest location. We arrived and called as instructed, and were not met with a very hospitable greeting. The employee responsible for answering the phone could benefit from some phone etiquette training, as she didn't give a positive impression or reflect the standards of Crust Pizza. However, after reading some of these additional reviews, it seems poor service may be the expectation. Anyway, they were rather busy at the takeout counter so we waited an additional 5-6 minutes after the crowd died down hoping someone would bring out our pizza. Nope. Bottom line, don't offer curbside if you aren't going to bother to bring the food out to the vehicle, or if you're slammed or short staffed, all you have to do is ask someone to come inside and grab their pizza.
Overall, the pizza was better than the typical Pizza Hut/mass chain, and I stand by the assessment that the specialty pizzas that don't use the red sauce are the way to go. However, if you do get one with a red sauce, go light on it and you can't taste the sweetness as much. That's what we did tonight, and...
