Update: In response I absolutely did not leave out that you should have refunded his entire order. Whay was he suppised to do eat in front of her when he had hos order and she didn't. Common sense here please....you obviously lack that. I'll point out I did not ask for a refund at all on mine till I realized I was charged for items I did not receive. And now you say I got her burger....well why did it come out saying order #5 on that burger and order #16 on the otger? Seems you can't get anything right cause this burger brought out had onion rings (which I ordered, hers should have had tator tots). And you LIE, my son never apologized to you for me.....he was never out of my presence so you are lying. It might have been stressful but you kept saying its not our fault....and I can tell you one thing for certain it wasn't our fault. You wanted my understanding but you sure as heck didn't give us any understanding....3 people sitting in fromt of 2 meals. Your snoty attitude talking to other employees and customers about me was unprofessional andctgat is what escalatedthe situation and the only reason I wrote the review.......and yes you told me to never come back so no you don't appreciate my business. And now I can add liar to the list of issues.
Original: I’ve been a customer for 30 years, but not sure I’ll be back after today. My adult son and his girlfriend and I went to lunch there today. My son and GF on one ticket and I on a separate ticket. When the order was brought out my son got his order but his GF’s order did not get brought out, my was however brought out. Then we hear an employee telling someone who just ordered and paid they would have to refund their order since their “fire protection system” went off for some reason and sprayed the girl or something. My next thought was I’d bet my son’s GF was not going to get her order (as we sat there and waited to start eating for her to get her order). No one came to our table to explain so I got up and asked if she was going to get her order. I was told no, and we will refund her order. I said shouldn’t you refund my son’s order too since he isn’t going to sit here and eat in front her? The lady (term I’m using loosely) said well he got that burger. I said that’s not good customer service. She took my son’s receipt and went back up to the register and was complaining about me and how I was unreasonable etc. I won’t go into details, but she was not being nice and she was not speaking softly as I could hear across the room. I was going to leave it alone until I her mouthing off about me to the other employees and even other customers getting their refund. So then I approached her again and restated that good customer services also does not include talking about customers like that. I made the statement I probably wouldn’t come back again to eat. She refunded my son’s GF order and brought my son a coupon or gift card or something and she said I know she won’t come back but here go since you will come back. I said wow basically same as refunding his order, wasn’t so hard, that’s all I wanted. Then she mouthed off again, and then I happened to remember I ordered avocado and jalapenos on my burger and paid extra, and guess what I didn’t get them (not the first this has happened either but son can even attest to that). So I flipped my burger apart and showed her the missing items, she said she would refund them. Of course, she came back and said they are under the cheese, I had to destroy the burger to prove they weren’t there. A nice guy bought the 2 items out in a container, and she did refund the $3 for them, but will say they didn’t even get me the right burger either, I then noticed I had double meat and I ordered a “regular” burger. I mean seriously how hard is this to get right? It's $15-$20 meal, not fast food, do better. I didn’t report that mistake although I was charged for the double meat. The employee (which could have been the owner/manager – hope not cause doesn’t know squat about customers) told me to...
Read moreI love it all.. so does my daughter and my husband. We have ate there many times. Every time I've tried something a little different. And every time the food was absolutely delicious and fresh and made to order.. I absolutely love the the root beer float. With Blue Bell ice cream and glass bottle home brewed root beer.. Is a big 5 star 🌟 + home brewed orange soda and grape soda all is extremely good. All the flavors don't have a lot of carbonation to them.. That is a major Plus for me. I can't do carbonated drinks very well since having the lap band surgery back in 2005 so major Plus is their drinks. And the owner put this business way up on my list of you have to go to. My daughter works a lot of hours and her fiance had a birthday coming up I suggested to her to call and tell her you would like to schedule a private birthday dinner and the owner accommodated my daughter with a private area that I did not even realize that they had available my daughter and future son-in-law absolutely loved it he got a big kick out of all the signs to read. I told him at first when you first pull up you think, " oh my goodness it's a hole in the wall. " ( I like that outside sidewalk area she's gotten four patio tables and chairs with umbrellas out front now perfect for the cool weather that is coming. + I love the picture with the doggies. Burger for dogs! How cute makes me want to go and pick up a pooch and spoil them. ) So once you walk in the door it's a total different atmosphere, That takes you back to the way things should always be. The food smells great and the place is very clean even for a germophobic like me.. I'm always wiping everything down with alcohol wipes even when they tell me " we just clean them" I always say to myself. It's not clean until I do it myself. LOL I was at a loss of words, my cleaning wiping was still very clean it was still white. I even tried to find dirt underneath and down the legs in areas that my hands were not going to be touching anyway. Still clean I was extremely impressed.. so if you're a germophobic like me and my husband you can relax and enjoy the food and the humorous atmosphere she has a business that I wish many restaurants...
Read moreI have written many reviews about places I have been. Most have been shared experiences with family and friends and loved ones. I do this to help people in communities out when they are looking for help or places to eat. I fully expected to write one about this business as it was a pleasant experience. The food has been worthy of the TM award they received most every time. In fact, it's the burger we get most often. The people have been helpful all the time. The place has been clean. And it was a favorite after discovering it back in 2000 when I started working in the area. The growth was noticeable and my perception was, it was well deserved. Untill today. I wanted to post this review last night after our visit, but I got distracted with an unexpected auto repair. So imagine my surprise when I went in to do this today.
A review was.left with a complaint about the service at the same time as when we were there. I did witness another patron that had been there before we sat and got our food. He apparently seemed like he needed additional items/service and proceeded to inform the young lady(manning the front solo for the most part) as she was busy with another order from the last family with several items that were from the ice cream counter. The single guy that wanted something apparently wanted to be taken care of in the middle of what she was doing. He was actually being kinda pushy. My major concern is while I found he sent a review, the business replies with a comment about someone's Personal Health Information. This is not only unacceptable, but it's unprofessional. I can't in good conscience recommend this business.
While I want to see local small businesses succeed, it's sad when they don't appreciate the people who help them along the way, or the clientele that supports them by spending money there.
This systemic problem is either with the owner or the management. I will leave this for anyone who wants to read through it to decide if they will support the business.
I would suggest that the business delete their response and leave out the employee #HPI...
