Palace Inn Conroe — Hotel in Conroe

One of the worst hotel experiences I can remember and I have traveled over a million miles on American airlines. The good: The bed was very comfortable. The bad: We checked after a long day of traveling. Though the bed was made, the room was not cleaned. There were some messy wet rings on the nightstand and you could hear your shoes sticking to the floor. There were no hangers in the room but two hanger bars that were supposed to be holding them. I was exhausted and got ready for bed. My wife went to the front desk and, after a little hassle from the front desk clerk saying they didn't provide hangers, she asked why they had hanger rods and he brought her some hangers. He claimed that the rings on the nightstand were from the cleaning solution. 🤣 Then, the shower was broken. There was a handheld shower head and the piece that was supposed to hold it against the wall was broken off, so it was difficult to take a shower. I had read positive reviews about this place but I will not be staying there again. There is a motel 6 right next door that I would recommend more, even though I have not seen it. I made a reservation at this location for about 3 months in advance. When we arrived at the location there were only a handful of cars in the parking lot but they told us that the only room available was one that the card reader on the door was broken. That wasn't too much of an issue because we only planned to stay overnight. After the clerk let us in, the room seemed fairly nice and the bed was relatively comfortable. When I turned on the AC I was shocked by how loud it was. I have an industrial air compressor back home that is quieter than the AC. I went to the front desk and asked to change rooms. After about an hour of waiting for the clerk to come look at the AC before we could change rooms, we were finally moved upstairs to a room with an AC unit that was quiet but it would turn off after about 5 minutes. Just as I was about to unpack my stuff I saw an adult bedbug sitting on the pillow. At that point I had enough so I went to get a refund and check out. He actually offered to get me another room even though minutes before he said they were fully booked. we ended up going over to the motel 6 next door which was...

This WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAD IN A HOTEL !!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER service!!!! I was aware that the door key was not working the lady at night in the front office had to come open our door it once we went inside we informed the lady in the office that the tv was not working and she came and took a look at it and said that it was too much money that we spent and for it not to work , and she would talk to the person in the morning shift and she was going to inform her about the situation and see what she could do about it . Before we left we passed by in the office to inform her about the situation and she rudely told us to leave !! that there was nothing to talk about !! That we should be glad that we had a place to sleep and she laughed !! I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST NOT TO GO TO THIS PLACE !!! OR WIAST MONEY THERE WITH THERE RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
