B & B Seafood — Restaurant in Highland Springs

I visited this place on 6-19-2019, as a last ditch effort to find female crabs. Let it be known that I hate so much that the crabs are always cold that’s why I stopped going for a while. However I opted to just go with it anyway. When my husband and I arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff members. They had only one dozen female crabs left and only one dozen male crabs left, well at least that’s what the nice man behind counter told us. We decided of course to go with a dozen female and one pound of spiced shrimp. We paid and went on our way home. Because of how far away we live and heavy traffic we got home an hour later. Not a problem, since the crabs were cold. We finally arrived home, got comfy and started to eat our ice cold frozen female crabs! Yes the meat inside the crabs were indeed frozen. I was in complete disbelief, We ended up throwing the crabs away. I was going to call them today, but Decided to give my review instead. I will never buy crabs from them again or their gritty...

I purchased 2 Pints of Jumbo Lump Crab meat for $35.00 each. This is my second time purchasing crab meat from this establishment. Just moved to this area and it was my sisters favorite place to purchase seafood. Until I find another place in the Richmond area for seafood this place will have to do for. (Jumbo Crab meat)

However I will not purchase hard shell crab from this place anymore since at time of order they are already cooked. I had to steam them again once I got home. I paid $62.00 for cold crab. Due to a family member coming in town who cant get hard shell crabs, I paid the price.

I want my crabs steamed and seasoned at time of purchase and not cooked and served cold. Still searching for a decent seafood place in Richmond. I will welcome any suggestions or recommendations....

I had a taste for some whiting I wanted fresh whiting. So I went in the person behind the counter said the whole fish was $4.99 a pound. I asked how much we're the whiting that was filet the young man said $4.99 a pound so I asked for $20.00 dollars worth he pulled out a bowl from underneath the fresh bowl of filet whiting I didn't notice that until he put the bowl back.I didn't think nothing of it until I got home and realized it was prefrozen fish like you would by from a supermarket. I wanted fresh fish not prefrozen.Needless to say, I was very disappointed.
