I was super excited to spend the day with my family here and pick pumpkins but the vibe was not welcoming at all. We were watched, followed, and literally pestered after we picked ONE pumpkin. We weren’t even ready to check out, we wanted more but bc we were being watched and followed we cut our visit short. I’m not one to go back and forth with anyone on the internet but I will, so please just accept the criticism and do better. Everyone cannot be telling the same lie??

EDIT 10/22/2024:

we were approached three times. the first time a lady in an orange shirt and black cop glasses called from across the street before we could even get over to the fence to pay! And i bet any amount of money, that's who is responding to these reviews. Poor taste! and a pregnant white man approached myself and my two teen nephews. The last person to approach got the brunt of my feelings bc we were PROFILED! THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT! AND YOU'RE DOUBLING DOWN IN YOUR RESPONSE SAYING THAT MY TEEN NEPHEWS DESERVED TO BE FOLLOWED! YOU DESERVE TO BE CLOSED FOR GOOD! DO BETTER! PERRIOOODD!...

Years ago I would have given a 5 star review. We love the nostalgic feel and it’s been tradition for YEARS to come and visit. I used to visit as a child myself. The past 3 or so years, it’s been a quite different experience on each occasion. This will definitely be our last year, sadly. I thought the point of the white dots were to show that you paid for your pumpkin? Instead the male workers each approach you in the rudest of tones… “Did you pay for those”. Atrocious customer service. They look at you and scowl. Not a friendly family place at all now. I’m all about supporting small businesses but cmon guys! We literally come here with our kids every year and the past few have been SO unpleasant. The playground is super rundown as well. To be truthfully honest, it’s seems to just be the two older gentleman. The workers where you pay and one of the tractor drivers were very nice and pleasant. The others just ruin the experience. I understand that you may have had some dishonest people but to treat everyone like they are stealing something is just...

We have been coming for years and really enjoyed it! One of our daughters who has passed away loved it and the festival they usually have( pre covid). We love the free hayrides and play equipment.

I will say, I know bees and yellow jackets are naturally occurring in nature, but I recommend the staff seal the wood on some play equipment as it was swarming with bees at some points ( 2 other people were talking about it too and concerned). They were also swarming in trash cans.

*I am a bit concerned about the less than kind responses to criticism by the owner when people leave less than amazing reviews. That is unprofessional.

It's also a small annoyance to have pumpkins marked with paint ( my kids and i do a few activities with our pumpkins). I suggest a sticker. Hopefully the owners responds kindly

I am leaving 4 stars due to the free play equipment and hayrides and the awesome festival they usually have and that the patch is free. A star is knocked off for the responses I see on here and putting a mark on...

Update: 2022, our 2nd year visiting Gallmeyer. It was great but I feel they need new vendors. These folks want $10 for a smoothie, $10 for fries and chicken tenders. I'm not sure if that's the going rate for vendors but I do feel there are better ones out there. Also, maybe someone could set up a booth/tent with coffee and donuts at a reasonable price, just a thought. This was our first visit to Gallmeyer Farm and I can honestly say that I will be taking my grandchildren back again, year after year! This place was awesome and the best part, it was affordable. We went on 10/2/21 at about 10:30 a.m. and it was not crowded, excellent parking, and the playground, pumpkin patch, the hay bale maze, hay ride and vendors were all excellent. If you haven't been, go!

Nice family activity free hay rides and a hay maze they also put in some swingsets and slides so that the kids have some more things to do it's a short walk to the field where you can pick whatever size pumpkin 🎃 you want...They had a nice supply of very healthy looking mums in beautiful colors..there was also a few food vendors. The only thing I had a slight issue with was the pumpkins are sold by the pound ...my daughter bought a pumpkin about the size of a basket ball or a tad smaller $14.00 a little pricey
