From the warm greetings and friendly character that is the owner of Cafe Mong to the ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS items served, there are countless things that amount to my deep frustration with the fact that FIVE STARS is the highest rating you can give. A first impression began to form before we even fully parked, as we rounded the corner and saw the windows being wiped down. Wiping windows in a dusty desert like Vegas? First notion of care and attention to detail. Decor was absolutely ADORABLE, very AESTHETIC, very TRENDY, and best of all, COZY. There is outdoor seating (with umbrellas for shade) for those who like a refreshing seat outside! I would even recommend this spot to people who like to study or do remote work at cafes or out in general. One of the most important things you will come to appreciate when meeting someone out, hanging out, doing remote work, etc. is how an environment is. This is certainly not the drab, dusty diner of your nightmares. Usually, I’ll not want to spend any longer than 15 minutes at a place, for it will tend to get noisy, smells clash, too crowded, too cramped, the list goes on. Cafe Mong knows what it’s doing. From the genuine plants that dot the space and the spacious arrangements for seating, to the CUTE cloud lights and little details around the room that give you a warm, fuzzy feeling, you can easily relax and enjoy your time here. I came here around lunch time with my mom and as much as I had been wanting to try this place forever, I still did not expect to be this wowed. We enjoyed great conversation and laughs, and the whole time it felt like we were chilling in my bedroom. Never did I ever think it possible to feel ‘at home’ in a cafe or public establishment in general. As a connoisseur, when it comes to finding a good restaurant or cafe, I tend to be quite skeptical and critical. Knowing Cafe Mong is known for crepes and coffee, I worked a little bit of reverse psychology and decided to get something other than a crepe. We got the Reuben sandwich as well as one of their specials, the Truffle Angus sandwich. My oh my was it delicious. Pleasantly, pleasantly surprised. This may sound like an exaggeration but I had to pinch myself to make sure I was not DREAMING after I took that first bite! ㅎㅎ Not to mention the presentation of the food (and drinks). Artistry! I have to say I really like the detail of sustainable takeout containers. Good on Cafe Mong!
Read moreAlways delicious and great customer service! Have come here multiple times and one time a few months ago even conversed with the owner a bit and he was so nice!! Try their hash brown if it'll go with your main, very unique and a fresh change of pace if you're used to American style or fast food style hash browns.
Update: Can't forget that their prices have not increased too drastically either, one of the reasonably price cafes in Vegas while still maintaining amazing quality and consistency. I've tried their croissant sandwiches and half of their pastries and theyre all flavorful and buttery down to the dough. Best cafe in southwest Vegas!
Update 2: Three times in a row now my boyfriend and I order to-go as we don't have time to eat inside, you know the biggest reason ordering to go exists. They take our several in-store orders of people behind us before our simple order which is usually the same thing for both of us. This only seemed to start happening when they opened their second location so I'm not sure if there was a dispursal of labor that caused an imbalance in the skills of the team but I'll put it back at 5 stars as soon as their order prioritization gets fixed. I've worked in multiple food service environments including as a manager and it should be common sense that to-go orders should ALWAYS get done before an in-store order thats taken after, unless you're just waiting on items for that order because they take longer, which I don't think would be the case for some breakfast sandwiches with 3 ingredients and a couple hash browns. Quality is still perfect, just know that if you want something quick to-go it will probably take...

I am honestly sad that I’m late to finding this gem of a place, as I could definitely see myself coming back EVERYDAY. Given I had the bank to support the splurge, haha. That said, the menu is a tiny bit on the pricy side, BUT (and I say this as a very frugal individual) I dare say it is MORE THAN FAIRLY PRICED. You could blindfold yourself and with one bite, one sip, you could tell just how much heart, thought, and labor went into making it. I honestly do not know where the negative reviews or lost stars are coming from, as there was quite literally nothing to critique in my experience, and I would imagine that as long as the owner continues running this place, it will forever be an endearing experience. Such attention to detail. Upon reading some of other reviews it seems it is run by the owner and his wife/they are co-owners(?) If the owner(s) happen to read this review, I just want to say thank you a million times and let you know that you are doing everything right. This made my day, and in fact, made my year. (I hope the fact that I have written an entire essay delivers the message as to why I fell in love with this place and why it’s so great, because you deserve to know.) 정말 감사합니다. 정말 정말 감사합니다. I’ve been in Vegas over a year and not once found a place that reminded me of home (Japan) until now. Definitely a sense of peace and warmth here, and reminds me of the cute and trendy cafes you would find in South Korea and Japan. Definitely my FAVORITE place on the map. Without a doubt coming back and looking forward to it!
(Indeed I have found a way to give more than five stars, as I’ve technically given...
