Ceviche Co. Xpress — Restaurant in Duluth

I decided to try this place based on its great ratings. Here’s my honest experience:

I visited on a Tuesday evening. According to their website, the taco lunch set should be $7.99, but I was charged $9.99. The menu also stated that they offer all-day lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays, but when I asked about it, the staff seemed unaware and told me lunch was only served until 3 PM—despite it being listed on both their website and even on their wall.

I ordered the octopus ceviche, the most expensive one, because I love octopus and was willing to splurge. However, when my order arrived, the server informed me they had run out of octopus and gave me extra fish and shrimp instead. I really wish they had told me before preparing my meal, as I would have chosen something else. What I wanted was octopus ceviche, not just more fish and shrimp. I also paid an extra $1.80 for mango, but the portion didn’t seem worth it.

I have a love for civiche that goes back 15yrs. So when I found this establishment by simply inputing "civiche" in Google maps, I was completely, but pleasantly, surprised. I purchased the Barranquilla civiche, which, truthfully, is the only thing I have eaten. It is so delicious I have ventured out to anything else. I did purchase the blueberry w/milk smoothie last time I was there. It is simply delicious as well. Stepping into their door transports you to their hometown in essence. You're greeted by a sweet young lady cashier/waitress who is the most polite and helpful person you would ever meet.(Yall need to be tipping that young lady) This young lady will gladly explain each and every option you have each time you enjoy this establishment. Fabulous restaurant! Highly recommend! Walked into a beautiful, clean atmosphere, with beach decor on the seafood theme... A welcome change of scenery in Atlanta! It felt like Ms. Elsy was welcoming us into her home. She was kind, patient with us and our kids, and answered all our questions. She brought our food out in a timely manner and checked on us several times. The food was absolutely delicious. Zero complaints from us or our kids. And i personally do not eat seafood at all, so I enjoyed the chicken and rice with a salad, and it was amazing...
