I don't know what happened to this cake shop. It used to be so good when it was in savoy center. I always loved eating their cake, pastries and stuff. But recently I went to their new relocated location in Stafford and I got some pastries for my family as a surprise. When I was about a to eat a pastry with the rest of my family I was surprised to notice that the pastry smelled stale and had a weird smell to it. None the less I took a bite and noticed that it was dry and kinda had a hard taste to it. I still ignored it and took another bite till a sharp piece of something got stuck in my teeth and made a crunch noise when I bit. I immediately went to the mirror and opened my mouth to see what was stuck in my teeth. To my utter shock,terror and horror... I found a white piece of egg shell stuck in my teeth. After removing the white egg shell from my teeth I stopped eating and became worried and very grossed out and told my family to stop eating their pastries that instant. Then I started wondering about how they were making their pastries and cakes these days. I don't know if they switched chefs, switched receipes, or were being super stingy in their ingredients or had incompetent people/chefs making their food for them. I was very dissapointed and utterly disgusted. Whatever this cake shop is doing they need to stop and go back to their roots and how they used to make pastries back...

By far, the BEST eggless cakes in Houston! Don’t get me wrong the regular cakes are amazing and made with lots of love and care, but the eggless cakes are from another planet! I’ve never had such a moist cake before, and been told after it’s eggless! If you’re looking for a great egg-free cake option, this is the place! In fact, even if you don’t need an eggless cake, support this business and get an eggless cake from here! They’re to die forrr, the cakes are super moist and flavorful, all while being designed with attention and care to whatever you request. I’m so glad we have a great cake place nearby, but even more glad that their eggless cakes taste better than 99% of cakes you’ll find anywhere else. I’ll also add, we made a small mistake on our behalf when ordering, the staff/management immediately told us it was no problem at all and they would fix the issue at hand. Within the same hour, they had fixed our issue, and I arrived personally to thank them from the bottom of our heart for not realizing our mistake, to which they mentioned it was no problem at all. I have ordered many cakes with Cillie's - However, my first disappointment and last time ordering from the bakery was my sisters baby shower cake. I went into the bakery two months in advance to place the order but was advised to call closer to the event. I called a few weeks prior to the event then was told about the chef will be on vacation a week prior to the event and has many booking on the weekend of the event. He assured me the cake and cupcake would be great if I leave all the decor details up to him as I requested for a Bee Hive. In all honesty, I have always left the decor choices on the chef and has never been disappointed until this one time. The cake filling wasn't as discussed - the chef seemed distracted and I made changes to the cake per chefs recommendation. He said a dome (but more of an oval shape) with small bees "flying" on it and cupcake with chocolate fillings and flower shaped cream with small bees on it. Cupcakes did not have bees on it, and the shape of the cake didn't look right and the "flying" bees on a straw didn't look right. It took a lot of contemplating (over three months) before posting...
