The perfect combination for the family. I get my sushi and Drakes is surprisingly good at making sushi, and the family gets their choices since they don't eat sushi. I've been here a few times already, but the last time we went for a party, when we asked for help setting up a table, the servers were telling us a section was closed. It was aggravating to have to just stand there while we did the work to figure out how to get our party seated. Your servers should probably be reminded to act their wage! The manager should be involved if there are situations like closed sections or large parties and such. That put somewhat of a foul taste in our mouths. The food was still fantastic!
1/27/25 Here is an update based on my last visit. It's sad to see what I would still consider a new concept going bad so fast. Hopefully this was an unusual experience. I brought in 16 people. They acted like my party coming in was an inconvenience. I shared as much info upon arrival, as I could to simplify their seating plans. I expressed concern regarding the seating option we were given. I was dismissed very quickly. I was told that the high chairs reach the tall tables when I questioned children sitting at high tables. Then I asked about children not in high chairs. I don't think I top tables were the best option. I was offered no explanation understanding. I look around the restaurant and see an entire area of seat that wrap the perimeter of the area we sat in... normal table height tables that kids should be seated at. I expressed I was not satisfied with the seating and again, was dismissed. We dealt with it. As we started to order I requested a draft beer that was not available. I ordered a different draft beer. After I finished that beer and requested another, I found that beer was also unavailable. Once our food began to arrive, we expressed concern over the fact that our table wasn't wide enough for all of our food, to which the server agreed. We dealt with it. 2 members of our 16 person party, ordered the chicken teriyaki. It's awful! Neither person ate it and 1 requested a different item. Thankfully the manager was OK with it. I'm bothered by the fact that my bill came out to $450 and my overall sentiment is that I was an inconvenience to most of your team. I have now had my large family dinners here on 3 separate ocassions... I don't see a 4th in our future. We will be looking for a different place to hold our family dinners. Someone out there will appreciate the $400-$500 we want to spend with them. Do better. And remember hospitality is not about whats easier or more convenient for you... it's whats most comfortable for the guest. You failed. You should be open and accepting of ALL feedback and the seating options should never be limited to.... we closed that section", or what orher inhospitable idealogy your people maintain. My entire party agreed that we need a...
Read moreI have been waiting to go here, I had big expectations. We went on a Friday night around 8. I had a feeling it would be busy so I called to see if they did call ahead seating but they don’t. When asked if they could tell me what the current wait time was they couldn’t give out that info. When we arrived there was a 15 min wait which was much better that I expected. They really need to get some benches or a seating area outside because it currently do not exist. You will have to go back to your car or stand when there is long wait times. I received a text once my table was ready and the host (possible manager) sat us and continued to tell us how wonderful our server was and that he assured us we would love our experience. He even pulled out my wife’s chair which was awesome! I was thinking ok this is a different experience but I’m digging it! And that’s about where it ended. Our server awkwardly came over to our table and said I’ll be serving you I think. He took our drinks and slowly walked away. Didn’t say a word didn’t say I’ll be right back, just walked away. I watched him a little and noticed he didn’t have much sense of urgency. The other waitress/waiters were all moving around quickly tending to their tables while he’s just strolling around. When he brought us out drinks they were completely filled with ice which is ok but when I needed a refill I asked to go light on the ice and he brought back my drink with 3 ice cubes in it. Ok I asked for that and that’s what I got lol. When he would.check on us he would ask from the next table over and seemed annoyed when we didn’t realize he was talking to us. When we got our food my wife asked for napkins since there were not a lot and her burger was kinda messy (but tasted good). He brought us a few and set them on the other side of the table where we had to get up and get them. I had the sushi and it ok good but not great. The rolls fell apart several times and we not rolled well. The crab Rangoon roll was actually better than I expected! The burger was really good but was so messy the bun became flat and soggy quickly. I did notice the entire place is wide open which was really nice on the night we went but if you are not a fan of the outdoors and have major anxiety with mosquitoes I would recommend going earlier in the day. I’m sure I will be back there often but i just hope our waiter realizes this may not be a good...
