We went for the holiday lights walk and it was a cluster of epic proportions for everyone.

We waited in a long line for over an hour with a 14 month old. There were no restrooms available while in line. No food or water available, either. There is no sidewalk so if we had a conventional stroller that would have been impossible to push, but the wagon people seemed ok.

Whoever held the event did arrange for parking at two local churches and bussed people in but unsure how that worked. The bus lines were long and where the bus drop-off was, that line was long, too.

The lights were ok. It would be much better as a drive-through, which is what it's setup for. I expected it to be similar to Tilles Park and half of it is not. For this pedestrian event, they had fireworks displays over the pond, a fire breather show, and a live reindeer attached to a small sleigh. The event sold out and there was no timed entry so we weren't able to actually watch the fire breather or see the reindeer--just too many people and camped out. There were also a lot of people with wagons that would stop in the middle of the road and couldn't see them until the people in front darted out of the way. It was a bit like a cattle drive, at times, moooving with the flow of the people.

The cost was very affordable --$5 pp but having to wrangle a young child in line for so long and the overcrowding detracted from enjoying...

Serene. Easy to forget that your anywhere close to suburbs and busy streets. An amazing place to go to have a quick 15 minute 'get away' and clear your mind of all the daily hustle and bustle and just breath and reset your mind to a calm place as you take in the sights and sounds of nature, trees, ducks and geese, a stunningly beautiful little lake. During rough times I used to sneak away there if even for a few moments and always drove away feeling refreshed in mind, body and soul, ready to take on this world and all it can throw at you. I highly recommend it for a personal place to just have a few moments alone or even a...

This was my first time back since they've made some changes and updates to the pond ...or lake, whatever they want to call it. I find it alot more peaceful of a place to walk. I'm a fan of water features so I'll always look at that as a plus.

The downside to the water feature though, it's way too close to the frisbee golf crowd. Only 1 frisbee was lost in the water when I was there, but that should have been a forethought when making said changes to the area. Who knows how many previous frisbees may have been lost or how many in the future.

All and all, it's exactly gorgeous. Not too many...

The celebration of lights that the park puts on at Christmas is the best I've seen. My mom and I did the walk through last year.... With the fireworks.... Man, so very cool! This year we drove through..... Very long wait to get in. I recommend you wait till after Xmas and go early when they open at 6! We tried to go on a Sunday around 8.....the line was impossibly long. Had to try again on a Saturday night after Xmas and we were in line at 5:30. Worth the wait, just make sure you have enough gas and maybe drinks and snacks. Lol

We went for the Celebration of Lights for the first time since moving out here recently. I wasn’t impressed as most of the lights had too many different themes based on the sponsors. It didn’t feel organized. I felt like it took away from Christmas. Especially the scene with the “kids playing” it looked kinda creepy. There was also no Christmas music playing, I had to turn it on in the car. I definitely prefer Tilles Park in St. Louis over this one. The staff were nice and they started on time so that was a plus.
