Jade Garden — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

I will never eat here again. We were only on our first plate when the rushing started. Before we started on our second serving my boyfriend and myself would always wait a few seconds. Well the waitress handed us our checks okay that was fine we thanked her n returned to the buffet. Once seated again she started hovering over us once behind me, then behind him, and repeat. I told my boyfriend well maybe she's waiting on the check we pay n returned back to our food. I thought that would end the hovering but it got worse. And at this point I've gotten annoyed she kept standing at the end of the table while we were talking and just would look at us. So my boyfriend gets finished with his plate and waits on me so we can go to the buffet together she approaches and ask us are we gonna leave her a tip and she deserves one for her services. Now I ALWAYS leave a tip and straighten my tables whenever we go out to eat and have never had this problem before. I at this point am annoyed and pissed that she would even asked so I told her no and she went to another waitress and proceeded to talk about me as if I didn't or wouldn't know. I have been eating at Jade Garden for years. Ever since I've worked down in Beaufort, that is one of the places that I like to eat. Staffs are friendly and courteous, and the food is incredible. The price is very reasonable for the area. Where I reside, the buffet is an average of $17 to $25 dollars per person. As the world has recently encountered the pandemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine, every establishment has increased its food cost. So JANYIS MOBLEY, you are WRONG FOR WHAT YOU SAID, AND THE COMMENT YOU MADE ARE RACIST AND OUT OF LINE!!!! THEY HAVE NEVER SERVED CATS OR WHATEVER YOU WANT THEM TO SERVE TO YOU. IF AN ESTABLISHMENT IS TOO PRICY FOR YOU, THEN GO HOME AND COOK YOUR DAMN FOOD!!!! DON'T RETALIATE AGAINST AN ESTABLISHMENT BECAUSE OF YOUR DISABILITY ON UNWANTING TO PAY FOR A CLASSY PRICE. SO PLEASE TAKE YOUR LOW-CLASS, UNEDUCATED AND UNGRATEFUL SELF TO MCDONALDS OR SOMEWHERE ELSE ! ! ! ! ! WE WANT TO ENJOY EATING AT THIS PLACE FOR MANY MORE YEARS WITHOUT YOU CONTAMINATING IT...

Please note we have never eaten in house. This is a takeout review. Although we live in Sun City, and takes anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes to get there, we have found Jade Garden to be the best take out! We have never been disappointed. We usually order three combination meals along with Chinese donuts and dragon bites for the two of us. We have roast pork fried rice, roast pork lo mein, General Tso, boneless ribs, (which are irregular bite size pieces of meat in a glorious sauce), served with spring rolls, (the best anywhere), and fortune cookies. Everything remains hot and fresh. We have enough food for 3 full meals for the two of us for just over $40 including tax and tip. When we added an extra person this evening we added an extra combination meal for $54 and change. We seemed to pack as much into the fridge as we had come home with. Amazing flavors and value!
