Love the food, itâs delicious. My issue is with service. It used to be great but lately when we go the portions are extremely skimpy. For example, I asked for an extra falafel because they were half the size they normally are and burnt and I was upcharged for it. I order my husband a chicken pita another time and the amount of meat was laughable. The ratio of pita to meat was easily 10:1. When I asked them to put a somewhat full scoop on, they charged me extra. To be clear we do not usually eat large portions, but the bowls used to be so full the lid barely fit and now they are half full at best. A friend told me the same type of experiences to where she wonât go there anymore. Today I walked in. The girl in front of me asked for rice as the base and was given less than a spoonful. She politely asked for just a tiny bit more rice and the response was that she would have to pay. For a full spoonful of riceâŠ. I wonât be coming back for a while. Iâm not sure how giving someone the normal portion is so expensive for the restaurant that they have to either skimp so badly or charge more. Itâs almost like the employees are paying for the food or they are being told to serve less but the food is not cheap, so it shouldnât feel like youâre twisting their arm to give...
Read moreThe cashier was handling money, then with the same gloves, she proceeded to pick up the food on the outside of the trays. I observed that she picked up some feta cheese that was on the outside of the container and dropped it into the container (while wearing the same gloves that she used to handle money).
In addition, I observed that the two female employees were reading the recipe instructions from the laminated cards that they all share while making peopleâs food. They were also going into the kitchen and touching the door with the same gloves! Wow! This is food safety 101! After I said something to the young lady, her colleague said something to the manager, and the manager said âOh, thatâs okayâ. Iâm not trying to upset a teenage employee, however, this is common sense.
The proper thing to do is to train your employees to change gloves after handling money or touching doors and so forth! Did not get to try the food because after I commented about the gloves, they supposedly did not have anything that my son wanted to try from the menu. Do not plan to...
Read moreI used to eat at Zoe's at least every other day. Then when they left I thought I would give Cava a try. Big. Mistake! My. Order was completely screwed up. Nothing I requested had been delivered. One simple request was to have my dressing on the side. There was so much dressing on my salad. It was filled to the bottom of the container and lettuce was soggy. I requested no hummus and in its place Taziki sauce. They couldn't seem to get that right either. They were incredibly rude when I ask them to fix it and instead of fixing it she put a side a salad dressing and aside of Taziki in my bag handed it back to me and not a word after that. so I took my soggy salad home and threw it in rhe trash. I understand it's human to make mistakes but to give the customer an attitude. And not. Even be able to speak english ... I have a big problem with that. I will never eat...
