This bar is so disappointing! I was excited when I saw a bar open up on menchaca that was geared more towards a younger crowd, the place is decorated very cute with lots of good picture spots. However every time I have came here has not been the best experience. The drinks are extremely overpriced and myself and my friends have all gotten way over charged on our cards. Everytime I have came here they wait a week to charge my card and then the amount is absolutely insane there is no way I spent that much. Others I have talked to have the same experience. Feels very scammy. If you come here to buy a drink be very careful and I recommend closing your tab out after each drink and asking for the price! They are definitely doing something shady. Also one of the door guys is horrible and unsafe and has harassed one of my friends. Texting her paragraphs after paragraphs being really scary and weird. He started yelling at me and this friend the last time we went bc "she couldnt say hi" to him. As a young woman I do not want to go anywhere I feel unsafe, especially when its the staff! All of the bartending ladies are super awesome and sweet. But this place is not it. Save your money and go to lustre or armadillo...
Read moreHonestly the place was a five star until tonight. The people that do the karaoke there ATX, every Wednesday are amazing and fantastic. And tons of people including all ten of my friends who go with me and get drinks (which are expensive, but we don’t mind since karaoke is free), except me cause I’m designated driver, love going there. Until tonight. The whole point of karaoke is to be able to sing and get out emotions while having fun. But the owner apparently had a ban placed on musicals specifically even though they’re just songs like all the others. Musicals are just as slow and sad and up beat and fun as any other song you can sing. We loved going here every Wednesday for the last three months and made it our permanent karaoke and bar because we loved being able to sing freely and have fun. Now we can’t even do that. We hate that the other places have cover charges and things, but we’ll happily pay that if it means we can sing what we want. Hope they change their minds and it doesn’t become a permanent musical ban, but until they do, we’re just all going to go...
Read moreUsed to be my new favorite bar on Manchaca now definitely my least favorite. I used to go there for months when they first opened and got along with everyone THEN they changed their rules! No certain shirts, no certain shorts, no small shoulder bags. So I eventually stopped going because all the other clubs on Manchaca have no issue with those. Tonight I decided to show some friends parlay because they’ve never been there than was told to tuck my James every necklace In after I was already in. This place easily became my favorite place to my least favorite. I liked this place because it was in the neighborhood but clearly want to act like it’s Rainey street. Respect your neighbors and people who wanna enjoy your bar for what it is. I used to be excited to hang out at your venue and invite my friends but definitely don’t feel welcome anymore. If anyone feels the same luster next door is happy and friendly to all. Hopefully things lighten up and y’all can become a neighborhood bar for everyone to enjoy instead of judgmental / choosy venue...
