White Duck Espresso — Restaurant in Elfers

I gave 5 stars for service as a testament to the incredible White Duck front and back of house employees that contribute to its everyday success. That being said, White Duck ownership and management does not view all of their employees in this same regard, with this bias targeted toward some employees over others with no given explanation. Despite touting, per their Instagram @whiteduckespresso, that "It really is a lovely team. We’re proud every day of all the ducks, and honored to get to be around each other as we figure out this thing called life", White Duck complies with Florida's at will employment regulations by terminating employees with no warning, no discussion, and no reasons given and a smile on their face. It is a shame that despite the immorality of the situation, the legality has taken precedent, and really reveals the management of White Duck to be nothing more than profit-driven capitalists with no real regard for a positive workplace environment and employee wellbeing. The owners are Tampa transplants from Seattle and yet have no regard for the local community members that they both employ and profit off of. I never write reviews, but it is absolutely necessary in this instance. I discovered this place after moving around five minutes from it a few months ago. I went there last Monday, and have garnered an insatiable addiction ever since. I have been every day since that day. Each day I order something different and it's always better than the last thing I got. Every time I drive up, the service is prompt and about as friendly as it gets. While the drinks are artful, beautiful, and delicious, the staff is where White Duck truly shines. Everyone is happy to be there, constantly greets you with a smile, and will do everything they can to make sure that your experience is top notch. They're super knowledgable (ask about their secret menu items and follow them on social media) and make my day every time I get the chance to visit. The rewards system is wonderful as well. I don't care how busy you are, if you drive by this place, make a stop. You will be greeted with the best possible service, ENDLESS drink options, and a genuinely wonderful and joyous experience. I've spent so much money at this place that I might need to start bribing my family for gift cards.
