Oh man, where do I start? I guess I'll start with the chips and salsa. The salsa was ok but the chips not so much. Some of them had a slightly burnt taste, like they were cooked in old oil or something. Whenever I try a new Mexican place I always check the lunch specials to see if they have a Speedy Gonzalez cuz if they do it usually means their food will taste like most other places in town. Nando's didn't have a Speedy but from photos posted by other reviewers I suspected their food would be similar, meaning generic. I was wrong, but not in a good way. I ordered the combo #4, which consists of 1 beef taco, 2 cheese enchiladas and of course beans and rice. The taco was almost inedible. It was filled to the top with beef, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese but the beef was poorly seasoned. Not too much or too little, just a bad flavor. And a bit dry as well. When Taco Bell has you beat in the taco game you may want to rethink your recipe. The enchiladas were quite small and barely had any cheese. All I really tasted was overcooked tortilla. The only decent thing about them was the red sauce, which seemed to have some ground beef mixed in. Sadly, even the beans and rice were a let down. The rice was quite bland and the beans were a bit salty and just bleh. The customer service was about the only thing they did right today. It's depressing and somewhat annoying that Nando's didn't bring their A game when opening a new Mexican joint in a town that already has at least 15 Mexican restaurants, not including taco trucks. I believe one reviewer said that Nando's raised the bar in Conway. Imo, they lowered that proverbial bar straight to the ground. This place is most definitely a...
Read moreI came here last month, the food and service was great, and I would really love to go back but it’s a shame that other people dining here ruined my experience so much to the point that I will not return. It was supposed to be a great date for my fiancé and I! In public, if another person is doing something you do not like, you can remove yourself, or make a formal complaint. For example, I hate the smell of cigarettes, but does that mean I can go up to every person in public and force them to stop smoking? That’s very entitled of me right? Well my fiancé burped. In a restaurant. And we had 3 different tables tell us he was “disgusting” needed to “join the army” and how “wrong” he and I were. It was so ridiculous that even the servers couldn’t believe what they were seeing. I hope that the people that ruined our experience read this. And I hope you all know that you’re a...
Read moreI went with my fiance the other night for dinner. We were greeted and brought to our seats promptly, which was nice. After our server came to take our order, we realized that we forgot to ask for some cheese dip. But even though there were only four other families/couples in the whole restaurant, neither our server or any other server came by to check on tables. So we waited until our food came, which didn't take too long thankfully. I had ordered their street tacos, and I was satisfied with the flavor of them. If I had to nitpick one thing it would be that there was too much grease, which caused the corn tortillas to tear and break apart. Other than that, it was good. My fiance, on the other hand, had ordered chicken enchiladas, and these were absolutely disgusting. The chicken had no flavor, but the flavor of the overall dish was just terrible. Overall, we were...
