The family and I have a rotation of restaurants that visit, and this is always on our list of stops. The reason we like to visit here is because of its uniqueness. All of the other sit-down Mexican restaurants in town have the usual chips and salsa to start you out (and these guys do too...if requested), but this place starts you out on rancho beans. Instead of serving refried pinto beans, they offer a refried black bean. All of the dishes and seasonings seem to be just a little bit different.
The place is super clean and the staff is great...which is a huge deal for me now (due to a not so pleasant bug experience i had from another popular joint in town, which i no longer go to).

Read moreI dined here with friends recently and I had the fajita steak nachos and 1 carne asada street taco. The taco was average, like I've definitely had better. The nachos were a bit short on the queso and the steak was a little tough. Interestingly, my friend had the carne asada plate and said his steak was very tough. I tried a piece and he was right. It's like someone forgot to tenderize that day's meat. On a side note, they don't serve chips and salsa but they do serve a complimentary little bowl of some kind of bean soup, which was tasty. I ordered three tacos de lengua and they lacked flavor and the meat felt very processed. It came with a side of beans and rice and some addons on the side, the lime and radishes were dry to the touch and very thin.
